smith Posted November 30, 2010 Report Posted November 30, 2010 On "Most Passing Attempts Allowed" it looks like their 332 on 11 games is about average for NCAA:http://www.teamrankings.com/college-football/team-stat/passing-defense-categoryRemember before the early 80's and the Run-N-Shoot and Spread offenses began rolling strong, the running game was the mainstay.

Im sure he came close a couple of times at Sam too.[/quote]Not really, we actually had some very good running backs during his tenure here. One of them even got up enough notice to walk on the Jacksonville team, he played a little in preseason, but never made the field. Ventured over to the UFL, but the team later signed two premier backs.

Two have to do with our offensive sheme and that starts with the OC. 9 rushing attempts is unbelievable.As for a the RB JJ is talking about at Sam; he was a coverted LB to RB and it worked out well for the Bearkats and the young man. But, it isn't like he was a four year star RB for SHSU either.

James Aston the last 2 years (pre injury) was pretty good too.
