[b][size=16pt]As much as I would like to watch everyone throw-up and get on here and tell everyone about it, being the good guy I am, we need to reschedule this trip.  Saturday the marine forecast is calling for 3-5 foot seas increasing to 4-6 foot seas by Saturday night.  I will get with each of you by PM and post a new topic/thread once a potential date or dates have been selected.  Sorry about that, but feel free to blame it on our local SETX weather man Coop........ ;D ;D ;D [/size][/b]


Looks like the weather is not going to cooperate for Sunday.  Weather permitting, we will fish on Saturday if we can get a full crew.  Please send me a PM if you can fish Saturday instead of Sunday.  Here is what I have now:

Details:

[b]Where:[/b] Will fish out of Galveston Yacht Basin located at 715 Holiday Drive Galveston, Texas (409)762-9689.  [url=http://www.galvestonyachtclub.com/contact/directions.php]http://www.galvestonyachtclub.com/contact/directions.php[/url]  Directions from Houston and East of Trinity  ;D

or

If everyone agrees, may go from the Texas City Dike.  It's a little closer for the folks coming form Houston or I-10.  

[b]When:[/b] Saturday 12-11-10.  Will meet at the Yacht Basin store/boat ramp at 6:30AM sharp.        

[b]What to Bring:[/b]
1. All-Water fishing license
2. Small ice chest to put fish in once we return to boat ramp.  Will leave in your car.
3. Any alcohol you want, no kegs or anything like that...... ;D  Please no glass.
4. Suitabel clothing.  You are likely to get wet if it is rough, so dress appropriately.
5. Seasick meds, if needed.  Read the box and follow directions, if over-counter type.  Once we are out, we stay out, so please know that.
6. There is a shower at the Yacht Basin, so a change of clothes if you want to clean-up after.
7. Any snacks or other drinks you want.  There is a small cooler on the boat for those items.

[b]Cost:[/b] If we split cost, figure $40 bucks.  That should cover fuel, bait, ice, tackle, boat launch, etc......

I will provide everything else.

You call those tiny little things fish. ill upload some REAL fish for you to see. I caught a 182 pound yellowfin last year. On that trip, we caught 800 pounds of yellowfin. It was unbelievable. We also got ling, grouper, etc. we kept hooking hammerheads though. those ba%$^#!$@ are a pest. We also caught a Maco, we drug him all the way back and drowned him. I also caught a huge grouper at about 50 ft down. kinda wierd they were feeding so shallow. On that 182lb Tuna, it was the most unbelievable workout I have ever been through. lifting weights dont do crap compared to that. It drug the boat around. i got it in the boat with no harness, straight pole. 4 of us fought it for an hour and a half. I hooked it, so i had to fight it 85% of the time. I still have bruises on my stomach. lol

182 is a good one.  We're going to do the Tuna, swordfish and grouper thing at the end fo this month.  People just don't understand how hard these fish fight, unless they have done it.  Ive got some 800 plus lb fish but not in the cat.  We catch most those in Panama.
