"THE HIT" - Quinton Couryatt

Last night while at the Bum Phillips Roast they had a picture of a friend of mine from Baytown who was involved in what is now known  as "The Hit".  I was telling a firend about it and thought I would post it, which I am sure some of you remember.  Still to this day one fo the hardest football collisions I have ever seen.

Ripkowski (DAYTON) had a hit against Kingwood Park that broke the kids jaw in 3 places...  Wish I had vid of that..

I was at that game.  Jim Wacker was stupid to send that kid over the middle.  We had two LB's at 6'4" and 245 lbs, that were really fast.  just stupid.

McPherson(the WR) did break his jaw.

I remember this hit like it was yesterday. Its #2 all-time on my fav hits list behind the hit that Steve Atwater put on Christian Okoye. Anyone remember that lights out hit?
