A number of local teams are involved in the bash at the Shark Tank:

Vidor vs. Beaumont Kelly JV, 3:30 p.m.
Sabine Pass vs. Orange Community Christian, 6:30 p.m.

Orange Community Christian Lions 52  Sabine Pass Sharks 47

Orange Community Christian Lions (4-2) traveled to the Sabine Pass Tournament Thursday night and defeated host Sabine Pass 52 to 47. The Lions were lead by Matthew McAfee's 12 points . Daniel Battise added 11 points and Alex Parrish 10.

Yea vidor couldve at least went to the Evadale tournament.... They had teams back out

How much better is your team after playing those 4 games?? Not the less bit! How is this preparing your team for district?? It's not!! Looks like coach is more interrested in "W's" than competing in district. JMO

Geesh! Seriously, was Vidor banned from the rest of the tournaments in the area? What does a 4A school gain by playing in a 1A tournament?? You would have faired better playing in a 5A/4A JV or Freshman tournament over the weekend.

[/quote]That was in no way a knock on St Annes,they are always a good jr high club.It was more of a quetion why in the world would would Vidor,typically a pretty solid 4-a club play in a tourney that pitted them against a Kelly JV club.There had to be a tourney that would help prepare them for Nederland,Ozen and Central.

Totally agree with alum.  The Pirates would have had a better workout if they would have inter-squad or played their own JV 4 times. 
And yes, the Evadale tournament always has some pretty good teams if you're looking for a 1A tournament.
