BH loses key play makers though. Their safties are leaving along with the stud OLB and a D1 Right Tackle. Morton was the star of the team on both sides of the ball with his big catches and interceptions, very hard kid to replace.
yes losing some key players but have plenty of talent to fill those spots. have a stud coming to play linebacker josh goundry, watch for him to do some good things, as for saftey not sure whos going to be able to fill that spot. as for right tackle. he barely played all season so he wont be a factor. cameron young is filling out nicely they should do nicely next year i have faith in Gage

NF or Baytown LEE ...............MIGHT POSSIBLY be the best in 4A also
NF i could see them doing good but i cant see baytown lee doing anything. if they have most of the same players as last year ill see them getting ran over by everyone again.

I wouldn't start dusting off that shelf in your trophy case just yet.
The flex bone will not be near as effective the 2nd time around.
Your defense is losing a ton of talent.

I could see another 2nd place finish, but Dayton is still the team to beat next year.

Look at our defensive playmakers most years..... seniors

Plenty of underclassmen played on this years defense and there are good ones coming up. Dayton will reload and the defense will be fine. I don't want to help you turn this into a Dayton/BH thread. Why don't you stick to why you think BH will be "possibly the best in 19-4A"? If you're counting on Dayton being down to make your case, you're going to be sad next year.

When did he "lay out" the GCM quarterback? Same one that started, finished.
Making one solid tackle against a pitiful GCM team this year, does not make you a stud.
we are really only losing 3 good defensive players the flex bone will work because our offense is coming back they are gun na be use to it and they're gunna be bigger and stronger and faster.

there is no "replacing" bellard my friend..he might be able to fill in that position. But not have the leadership and intensity bellard played with. The defense this year is what won us games . Hopefully next season we find a way to do so also..still to early to be sayin bh is going to be the best in district.

Every team in the district will be "bigger and faster". We all have conditioning and weight programs.
We also have game film and dedicated coaches that work 18 hour days, 7 days a week, getting ready for next year. The flex bone will not be as effective.

    • Has Elmo gotten his aggy premature extension yet?  Pay him already because you guys were exactly right - he really does “get you.” 😂🤣
    • It’s been awhile, but I seem to remember 5 D starters out & 2 O starters out (OL). A big difference is that Simon wasn’t involved yet. He’s totally changed LP’s rushing attack from last year as a bruising, explosive addition to Barnes, Sandolph & Bright. Last year—and early this season—LP was missing that element. Now, Coach Berneathy is not making talented players wait like many other coaches & even his predecessors at LP. If the kid can produce at the varsity level, they’re moved up. And man, has Simon produced! Over 1200 yards & 20 TD’s in less than a full season so far! It’s allowed LP to alternate RB’s where Barnes doesn’t take all the pounding. Barnes and Sandolph are also able to split out as receivers as desired to add threats that weren’t really an option last year. The PNG/LP game was a full-on tilt & good for both squads. I remember Gary Joseph in the end zone giving his son pointers as an extra set of eyes since he’d had experience with LP in past PO matchups. That was a good game. The score wasn’t really indicative of the game. Not sure anyone felt it was over until the final whistle! Good luck to y’all in Cajun Country. Bring back a win for SE Texas. (Yes. La Porte is still SETX. Ha!)
    • SEC fan bases before Texas got there: “The horns aren’t ready for this. Every week is a battle.” SEC fan bases after Texas arrived: “Texas has the easiest SEC schedule ever!” SEC fan bases after every one of their teams has lost to one or more SEC teams from the bottom half of the standings, many of whom Texas beat comfortably: 🤐
