Should be some excellent basketball talent in this tournament. Great group of teams put together this year.

It is a very good field, but not the field that I was originally told would be at this tourney. I was under the impression that #2 LaMarque, #19 Ozen, #17 Crosby and a San Antonio team were to be playing in this tourney.

Still, with host #22 Nederland, #1 Galveston Ball, #9 Silsbee, West Brook, HCYA and Christian Life, this will be a very good tourney, one that folks should check out.

Yes. I will be at the Dog Dome broadcasting some of these tourney games and updating the ones I do not broadcast.

I'll be there everyday from the start of the first game on Thursday to the finish of the championship game on Saturday.

Silsbee plays Fort Worth Brewer in their first game. Glaveston Ball is in the opposite side of the bracket.

I found a little info on Brewer(4A) their record is 2-6. They look like they play a lot slower than the tigers play as the most points they have scored is 54.  Averaging 42.25 points a game,  while giving up an average of 50.88.  According to the schedule on the star-telegram site all of their games have been at home so far. In all but 2 games they have only had 5 or 6 players score. Most in any game is either 7 or 8. One of those 2 was a 20 pt win the other a 25 pt loss,  so it looks like they lack depth. All I know about their playersis the leading scorer is Jalen Bridges.  It justs lists his name.  Second is Jermane Goldsmith.

Don't overlook HCYA out of Houston, I'm warning you guys. They have a kid who is a big school D-1 prospect and has a good supporting cast. Watchout for the homeschooled kids. ;)
