Anyone who knows anything about basketball should recognize that HJ  should have won any game that they have lost. Each time their shots were not falling. Zjori Bosha hasn't been scoring as much as he should, and hasn't been driving either. Just wait until this guy starts scoring 20 to 25 points in addition to Gus and Prudhomme improving. They haven't been losing by a numerous amount of points, with these 3 guys not playing up to their full potential. Things can't get any worse. They will only get better. Good players may hit a rut during the season, but they always come out of it.

Thats the biggest group of 1-a kids I've ever seen. Most 5-a teams in this area don't have that kind of size.

What a night............HJ loses a game that they looked dead in the water at times and kept coming back.  Great defense and finally making a shot or two along with Cayuga missing key FT down the stretch kept HJ in it.  Not the best night I have seen of HJ..........poor shot selections, missing easy layups, missing FT, a few on the team getting their heads down when something does not go right or making a shot.  HJ lost to another team they should have beat........Cayuga is a very good 1A team and can beat most 2A and 3A teams that they would face, but should not beat HJ.  Cayuga hit some HUGE 3s when HJ would get close and HJ just had to many TO and too many missed easy opportunities!!!!!!  Great win Cayuga, you wanted it more tonight.

Hoping HJ gets its act together tonight and wins out and faces Cayuga in the Final Saturday night!!!!

One thing this HJ tem did that was typical HJ was make that comeback down the stretch.  It seems like whenever they ae down in the fourth they always seem to make the plays to get right back into it.  They will be fine the season is still young.

H-J shouldn't have won this game, imo. The better team won. From where I was sitting H-J suffered from horrible shot selection (because most shots were contested) and a bunch of younger guys being afraid to shoot the ball when they had good looks.

My sons and I attended the game, was it just me or did HJ not take a lot of open 3's. It seemed like the wings just would not pull the trigger, and when they finally did the 3's where dropping but it was to little to late. Also great job of offensive and defensive rebounding by Persohn

It definately was a strange night, I don't think I have ever seen HJ miss so many layups. Add to that Gus getting in foul trouble and the team not taking the open threes, it sure didn't look like Hawk basketball. That being said, Cayuga is a rock solid, tall, and very good no matter what classification the school is.

Like I say it is sports which means any team can beat any team on any certain night. Thats why a true sports fan loves the Cinderella of any tournament I have to admit I was pulling for Western Kentucky last year in the NCAA tourny

I didn't see the game but what I 'm reading into the scores, Cayuga (sp?) had a comfortable lead against an average team and took a break in the 4th qtr. 8)

[/quote] I dont know about them being a average team, but Cayuga did have a big lead and missed 5 free throws in the last 30 sec. to let HJ make it close, But Cayuga is a good team.

Cayuga was loaded last year. I saw them at state and felt like they could of played with ANYBODY in our area.

Cayuga is located on Hwy 287 between Corsicana and Palestine.
They are a 1A school
