LU4LIFE Posted December 30, 2010 Report Posted December 30, 2010
Chavis is a big guy but he needs to be on the defensive side of the ball. He's very athletic but dropped too many balls. What position does his brother play???
I think his brother is a DE
epg2793 Posted January 3, 2011 Report Posted January 3, 2011 I am a Nederland guy and like Forney but I'm not sure he is quick enough to be a tight end. He was strickly a pocket passer with little speed or quickness. However, work ethic goes a long way and if he works he could find a spot somewhere.EPG
JJWooten Posted February 2, 2011 Report Posted February 2, 2011 Looks like Forney signed his NLI for Lamar:
Played three seasons of varsity football at Nederland High School ... Passed for 823 yards and five touchdowns as a senior and 941 yards and 11 touchdowns as a junior ... Picked up 206 rushing yards as a senior ... In addition to playing quarterback, also played tight end and defensive end... Named District 20-4A Player of the Year in basketball as a junior ... Was named District 22-4A Newcomer of the Year in basketball as a freshman.
puddin tane Posted February 2, 2011 Report Posted February 2, 2011
Not sure they will move Chavis. He was promised the tight end position when he transferred from A&M. That's why he left is because didn't want to change positions. Even though he can't catch a cold. he even lost the starting spot to Davis by the end of the year. I think tight end is where Dionte will ultimately be however. Chavis will be long gone by the time Dionte will be ready to play
don't think thats the reason he left aTmsigned a couple TE's...dont see dionte playing Te...maybe dlinegotta get chavis outta TE and put him on d line..move coleman back to LB
NorthoftheBorder Posted February 2, 2011 Report Posted February 2, 2011 I only see Forney being a DE. Hopefully he will improve and be a contributor.
