NorthoftheBorder Posted December 13, 2010 Report Posted December 13, 2010 Where's the beef? Hopefully we will pick up a few good O & D linemen and the offseason program will also help the line performance next year.
Guest mffl Posted December 13, 2010 Report Posted December 13, 2010 Just wait, I hear we have quite a few coming in.

bigred360 Posted December 14, 2010 Author Report Posted December 14, 2010 Not 100% sure as the have him listed as playing for Navarro. But the stats are from his days as a Mustang RB both jr and sr years.
bigred360 Posted December 16, 2010 Author Report Posted December 16, 2010 Former Central defensive back Adrian Guillory 5'8, 185lbs signed with Lamar. He also played at Navarro. Guillory ended the season at Navarro with 19 tackles and three interceptions in five games, according to the NJCAA web site.

Gillam has that position locked up for the next three years.
time2time Posted December 16, 2010 Report Posted December 16, 2010 You can never have too much talent or too much depth. Aside from the fact that football is obviously a physical sport and any back-up is one play from starting the rest of the season, football at the FCS level could be up to 13, 14, 15 games if your team is lucky enough to make a run through the playoffs. Plus competition for playing time is only going to make this team stronger.
coachacola Posted December 16, 2010 Report Posted December 16, 2010 Hall hasn't signed yet and Jeremy Johnson won't comment until Friday.http://www.beaumontenterprise.com/sports/lamar/article/Lamar-football-adds-three-players-waiting-on-two-902473.php
LU4LIFE Posted December 16, 2010 Report Posted December 16, 2010 According to KFDM Hall, Garrett and Sanchez all signed today with LAMAR.

Good to see these two new o-linemen coming in early to learn the offense.
bigred360 Posted December 17, 2010 Author Report Posted December 17, 2010 Yep, you need a good O and D line at any level of football to be successful.

AJ25 Posted December 26, 2010 Report Posted December 26, 2010 Lamar also has outstanding offers with linemen that I was able to find..Matt Goetz - Guard from Navarro, 6'4 280 lb. Also has an offer from South Alabama. I'm sure LU will land him.Mike Yoder - OT from Blinn, 6'5 290 lb. Doesn't show he has an offer, but lots of interest. Anyone know more?

If they haven't already.. LU maybe needs to offer Yoder. Woodard may feel like he has enough O-linemen now, but it's hard to pass up on a first team all-conference guy.
