Battles are good but there might be too much wasted talent on the bench.Miller is 6'4" 220lbs and can run a 4.6 he only saw the field to take a knee.
Travis ain't that big. Travis is 6'3" 195 and I dont know about a 4.6 but he is much more of a run threat than Doty was. From what I hear he is also #1 in the Jr. Class.
I am guessing that some think that Peveto will get a look at QB. I heard he played QB at OF before transfering and playing defense this year as a Soph. He is big 6'3" 205 and growing and has good spead as well, but this Junior class has won a lot of football games over the years with T. Miller at QB.

Not at RB as they (Lamar) just signed two RB's. One Derrick Hall who originally signed with A&M in HS and DePauldrick Garrett from Navarro's National Championship team is which he ran for 108 versus Bulter Community College in Kansas.

Garrett is from WO-S so he is a young man from two winning programs.

I see Harmon moving to LB or a better position for his skill set would be SS.

Like i said, find a way to get him on the field.

I heard that Peveto has not indicated to Faircloth that he would like to compete for the qb position.

What did Hall or Heard do against PNG their senior years??
What does that have to do with this discussion?
???

Hall tore PNG up. He was and I am sure still is a rare talent.
Heard did not. IMHO he spends too much time dancing around in the backfield. When it works it pays off big, but against Humble the other back impressed me more because he hit the hole with some athority and always moved forward. I thought if the other guy had gotten more carries Central would have played FWood!
Hall's first game at RB was in the 2006 football season and was against PN-G.  He rang up 250 yards rushing.  Now in 2007, his senior year, I don't think he did much as we were in a down year.  But like I said, I don't get the relevance to this topic from that other PN-G fan.

PN-G played good defense to stop Heard.  He was dancing because he had nowhere to go and all the angles were sealed off.

The Backup RB that you are in reference to will probably be starting next year.  ;D

Bottom line is Heard's stat's didn't match up statewide. Hell, why don't they just name everyone All-State just like the district does.
This is not the bottom line because Heard or Hall was not even the original topic.  The thread was hijaked (still don't know the reason).  How about making a 'bottom line' on the actual topic?

Yes, I thought so...He will make people forget about Heard quickly IMO!
I don't know about that.  Heard had something  you couldn't teach.  Home run speed and the ability to make defenders look silly.  But sometimes, that is his weakness as shown against PN-G...

To answer the initial question:  None....

Where's PN-G's 1800+ yard rusher from last year?  Just asking....
They seem to always have a beast at running back and I never hear anymore about them after high school, why is that ? Not trying to ruffle any feathers (pun) just curious.

If you look at the majority of schools in the golden triangle, where is any of them playing? It's not like there's an over of abundance D1 players flowing out of the triangle. There are a few, but I think hardly anybody can get on here and hammer PNG football players. They've shown that they're one of the better HS teams in this area. How many SFA players went to play D1 this year? None! We have a couple at LU just like most schools will have now that LU has football. WB turns out some D1, as well as WOS, and Kirbyville. Heck Memorial isn't even flooding the D1 schools with athletes. Dumb subject. Point is PNG has some decent HIGH SCHOOL players. We don't claim to have big D1 players, just a good HIGH SCHOOL football team.

Cook went DII and had a decent career from what I recall...Someone help me on the numbers.
Hemmings played Safety at McNeese.
Harmon is a Freshman at Lamar.

Bertrand won't be heavily recruited next year because he ain't big (he'll play at 5'9" and around 200 lbs in 2011), and he ain't real fast (he'll run a 4.6 probably next year), but much like some of the others from above when the pads are on he is a player.

Nelson will get some interest I am sure at the FCS level in 2012. He is 6'2" with decent speed (4.6), amazing hands and the ability to go get it!
Peveto is only a Sophomore, but at 6'3" 200 lbs and growing (I suspect he will play LB at 220 pounds by Sr. yr) with very good speed for his size, I suspect he could be the first big recruit we have had in some time. There is another intriguing Sophomore that was on the team at years end with the size and drive to get some looks down the road as well (Reasons at OL is 6'3" 250 and growing). If he grows like his brother and ends up 6'5" 280+ he will be a beast. I hear unlike his brother he has a passion for FB!
Thanks, now that you mention it I do remember Hemmings being on the McNeese team  for one year think it was 2009.

Let's be perfectly honest, Bertrand won't be heavily recruited because he is a 5'9" WHITE running back.  If he were black the 5'9" would not matter.
