Silsbee is quite possibly the #1 3A team in Texas this season.  HJ is very solid, and is only going to get better considering they have had major injury issues, and also have a lot of young kids on varsity who are going to continue to get better as the year progresses.  I see HJ as a top-15 team in the state right now, but a top-10 by the end of the season.

[/b]  as for a contender for a district championship, how can you possibly say that?  i'm not saying they won't be (a more realistic, but still totally baseless prediction at this point would be to say they'll compete for a playoff spot), but are you basing this on their 0 quality wins or their one fairly close loss against Nederland?  again, i have no disrespect for the kids, i don't know diddly about the coach, but that schedule still blows my mind.

I dont think hj can beat cleveland this year, cleveland has a very good basketball team with a bunch of athletes BUT the only thing holding cleveland back is coaching and has been for the past three years.

The Cleveland-HJ playoff game last year was a classic example of how much difference good coaching can make.  HJ was outmanned at every position but came out on top on the scoreboard.

I agree with Nash.  HJ was outmanned and Cleveland was by far more atheletic.  It came down to lack of discipline and coaching on behalf of Cleveland.  HJ would make a run and Cleveland would get frustrated and make stupid mistakes.  Hopefully they learn from that and improve in those areas.  If so, they will be a tough team to beat.

It sounds like BlueDove is getting ready to fly the HF coup to the HJ coup?????  I have heard alot of beating around the bush.  And in all honesty you should be able to move your kids to wherever gives them the best chance to succeed.
