AJ25 Posted December 18, 2010 Report Posted December 18, 2010 Watch out for the Houston Astros. They can compete this year.. And are looking 10X better in the future. Signed utility man Bill Hall today.. He did a terrific job in Boston last year in a similar ballpark.http://houston.astros.mlb.com/news/article.jsp?ymd=20101217&content_id=16338550&vkey=news_hou&c_id=hou

Actually, I appreciate your optimism, but I cant get on board yet. In my book, they still dont have enough quality pitching (starting or relief) to compete in Minute Maid. While adding and playing the youngsters help, they still dont have enough good bats either. I hope that I am wrong and at the end of the season you can call me out and say I told you so. I wouldnt bet on it though. The best we can hope for is that the Astros gets a buyer that wants a winner. I wont bet on that either. :(

I'm just excited that they're finally making changes.. Hoping they're going to put the pieces together at least a little bit more. I'm saying with the next 2 years they will make the playoffs. Especially with how down the Cards are now.
