Watch out for the Houston Astros. They can compete this year.. And are looking 10X better in the future.

Signed utility man Bill Hall today.. He did a terrific job in Boston last year in a similar ballpark.

Hitting the eggnog a little hard AJ? Actually, I appreciate your optimism, but I cant get on board yet. In my book, they still dont have enough quality pitching (starting or relief) to compete in Minute Maid. While adding and playing the youngsters help, they still dont have enough good bats either. I hope that I am wrong and at the end of the season you can call me out and say I told you so. I wouldnt bet on it though. The best we can hope for is that the Astros gets a buyer that wants a winner. I wont bet on that either.  :(

I'm just trying to stay optimistic, like you said. I'm just excited that they're finally making changes.. Hoping they're going to put the pieces together at least a little bit more. I'm saying with the next 2 years they will make the playoffs. Especially with how down the Cards are now.

Richard Justice of Houston Chron belives the Astros to be a refreshing team to watch in 2011.  (Probably March 30, 31, July 1-3)
