Difference, although ULL was 1-8 they played a harder schedule to date and have the better coach.  Quote from Roc's postgame interview we have to play harder in practice.  He won't learn you have to play the guys who can win the games not the ones who impress you in practice.  Don't believe Mike James played at all.

I don’t for sure what you are talking about, however u r dead wrong.  If a kid won't perform in practice shy would you reward him with playing time?
Roc appears to change the starting lineup almost every game and when you here him talk it comes down to who he thinks practiced tha hardest this week.  If you have fifteen guys fighting for playing time based on this weeks practice effort you cannot develop a cohesive team atmosphere.

Billy would be a great fit. There is a great AA chapter in the area ;) :o

Also I agree with his point. No one on this team understands or even has a roll. You need to have rolls on the team so everyone can gel together. Whether its shooters, slashers, defensive specialist, rebounders, or go to guy. Our team has 15 players who all think they should be the star.

Alright it's been enough time to watch this team and coaching staff this season to make a unbias opinion. I think it would be best if Roc and Lamar part ways after the season. I really wanted it to be different because he is a Lamar alum and this was his dream job but things just aren't working out.

There is no way Lamar should have lost to ULL after having a 12 point lead and they were 1-8 with a lost to Texas College last week!

There is one big way...BOB MARLIN IS A BETTER COACH

Lamar also lost to Rice after blowing a double-digit lead.  How can you not blame this on coaching?  From day one Roc's coaching abilities have been questioned, and since the talent he recruits can't overcome his bad coaching, isn't it time for a new coach?

Should have an 11 man rotation.

Starter    -      2nd
C - Custer      Brazier
F - Harper      Nelson
G - Davis        Adams      Minor
G - Miles        Lamb        Minor
G - Harris        James

Brown, Lynch, D. Harris, Ebomwonyi very little PT.  Brown has been bad. Go look at his numbers! Why he keeps getting starts is beyond me?

Lamar didn't have a 12 point lead. ULL is the team that had the 12 point lead and Lamar got within 3. But I still believe that they should have won this game if they plan to compete in their conference this year.

From what I understand is Roc recruited a local kid that has no business on the LU roster. This player get's beat down daily according to one of LU's coach's. I thought Lamar hired because he was a very good recruiter, I have not seen this yet.

They better do something soon because I know several people who did not renew their season ticket's.

Sorry, you are wrong as Lamar had a 12 point lead during the first half. You can read all the info in this link it you would like. To be exact it was an 11 point lead 19-30, Lamar with 4:49 left in the first half.

You are both right.  Lamar had a 11 point lead in the first half and ULL had a 12 point lead in the second half.  Don't good coaches make adjustments at half time?  Roc doesn't know how to teach defense so his teams will always be average at best.

who cares if he recruits a bad player.  Especially if he is local?  What I can't stand are all of the crappy non local players he recruits.

What is upsetting to me is some of these guys have some talent. For some reason, it isn't helping us in the win-loss column. So, either way it comes back to coaching. Either they didn't recruit good players or they aren't doing a good job coaching them.

I think this really sucks. I have listened to Roc for five years and he always says the same BS and gets the same results. Some coaches have the great art of getting the best out of not so great talent. Seems Roc has the nack for getting the worst out of good players. I think his motivation tactics are non-existent.

Based on mine interaction with some on the team and watching some of the practices, I don't like his motivation tactics.  As with some young people on Facebook, a player made comment on fb that should have been left unsaid.  I advised he should remove them, because it was not in his interest to leave them for the coach or all to see. He did remove them. I am not going to reveal what was said but it would explain why the team seems to regress.  I find it interesting that he has a priest sitting on the floor behind the team for home games. The bench coaches, some good coaches in their on right seem to be bench warmers.  Their is no interaction between themselves, to pass on what or why a player is or doing.

I too find that you have two of the nations top JC scorers, why not have them on the floor together more often.
