The Kountze Lions, #1 in this week's SETXsports.com Small school poll, will travel over to Evadale tonight to take on the #5 SETX ranked Rebels at 7:30pm in each team's last game before Christmas break. The Lions (13-4) are coming off a win just last night over Newton, 93-62. Evadale (8-6) defeated 1A rival and state ranked Spurger last Friday night.

I look for a much better game tonight than the game these two played during the Evadale tournament.  The Rebels have been moving some folks around trying to find a good fit at the point and may have taken some steps recently to improve play at that position.  Big man BD has really been playing well lately and has done a good job of keeping himself focused and letting his game do the talking.
Kountze is a load no doubt but I'll be surprised if the Rebs don't keep this one much closer...we'll soon find out.
