**HJ vs. New Waverly 7:30---EC Christmas Championship Broadcast..HJ Wins!!**

The 3A #9 ranked Hardin Jefferson Hawks take on the 2A #17 ranked New Waverly Bulldogs.  The Hawks have moved through the EC Christmas Classic by defeating Lumberton 71-38, Corsicana 78-55, Hitchcock 93-62 and then Little Cypress-Mauriceville 49-36 in this mornings semi-final.  The Bulldogs made it to the Championship despite losing their first pool play game to LC-M 62-61.  The Dogs then defeated Evadale 65-51, Lumberton 52-40, East Chambers 51-48 and then Orangefield 46-40 this mornings other semi-final.  The Hawks will be looking for revenge as the Bulldogs defeated the Hawks in last years EC Semi-Final matchup.

Broadcast to start at approximately 7:20pm.

It looks like HJ is starting to get their 2nd half legs.  I remember they used to come out swinging in the 3rd quarter, but in the last year or so, that hasn't happened as often.

Don't worry Dove, AAW knows Silsbee is a favorite against HJ and deservedly so.  I just hope the Hawks can pull an upset come district/playoff time.
