eagle65 Posted December 30, 2010 Report Posted December 30, 2010 Who was the best running back in Dayton history
dayton Posted December 30, 2010 Report Posted December 30, 2010
Ivory Durio had some wheels ;D
+1 on that one... i was really young but... i'll go with that.

CodyLB34 Posted December 30, 2010 Report Posted December 30, 2010 Greg Williams was good back in the 60's

I think Ivory had a better o-line and Pearson was the QB who defenses had to game plan for and it opened alot of things up. If I remember right but I have knocked back quite a few cold ones since then so.................... ;D
GMAN21 Posted December 30, 2010 Report Posted December 30, 2010 jerremy roberts. checc dayton's record books
Matt Posted December 31, 2010 Report Posted December 31, 2010 Ivory Durio was good, Lamar Mitchell just because he liked to run over people, jeremy roberts fumbled more than anyone I can remember, if I remember correctly he fumbled 4 or 5 times in the loss to crosby.
bronco#34 Posted December 31, 2010 Report Posted December 31, 2010 ANYBODY HEARD OF JIMMY PIKE,KEVIN HAYNES ERIC GAINES.THESE GUYS WERE PRETTY GOOD ALSO
7mary3 Posted December 31, 2010 Report Posted December 31, 2010 Depends how you look at it. Durio went on to play at UTEP and started at RB for them. Then graduated from a Div I college so how can anyone argue with that. Hmm, what did Roberts do? Nuff said. Jeremy Roberts shouldn't even be mentioned in the same sentence as Durio and I shouldn't even have to explain why.
bronco#34 Posted December 31, 2010 Report Posted December 31, 2010 ROBERTS DIDNT EVEN FINISH SCHOOL IN DAYTON,GUY HAD ALL KIND OF OFF THE FEILD ISSUES.BELIEVE HE ONLY PLAYED 1 YEAR IN DAYTON

David Chapman was a BEAST as well. He reminded me of a taller Bettis when he played. Barry Pruitt could have been one of, if not the best but decided to concentrate on basketball. All good guys on and off the field.

brett_reeves Posted January 1, 2011 Report Posted January 1, 2011 It's Ivory Durio hands down. Probably the best player to ever play in Dayton.
eagle65 Posted January 1, 2011 Author Report Posted January 1, 2011 marshall higginbotham, kenny roberts, broderick amy. glen pruitt, rudy zaruba, calvin westcott.

SETEXFan Posted January 1, 2011 Report Posted January 1, 2011 The best RB to come through Dayton statistically is Michael Dugat. When Michael graduated he was #5 on the all time list for 4A runningbacks in the state of Texas with over 5000 yards rushing. He is also the only one with a 2000 yard season which came as a sophomore.
