exbccards76smom Posted February 21, 2006 Report Posted February 21, 2006 Apparently at last night's school board meeting, BCISD AD Claude Tarver had his contract renewed. This is posted on the BC website.

Guest Cardinal12 Posted February 22, 2006 Report Posted February 22, 2006 He has his moments. He's not the best.
WOSgrad Posted February 22, 2006 Report Posted February 22, 2006 He has his moments. He's not the best. Geez, you are pretty hard to please, huh? The Cards have made the playoffs 3 out of the 4 years Tarver has been at BC. The last time BC had such a streak, Cardinal fans were hollering "Woo! Woo!" at its football games.
Guest Cardinal12 Posted February 23, 2006 Report Posted February 23, 2006 I not hard to please, but I think the coaching wasn't what got us in the playoffs we've had some pretty good athleties. You have to be in the system to really see when your n the stands you don't see the true CT.
Bobcatfan4life Posted February 23, 2006 Report Posted February 23, 2006 Tarver has one of the best coaching records in the state of Texas. I'm pretty sure coaching had a lot to do with it. True, the athletes are the ones on the field making the plays, but it takes two parts to make a successful team. Good coaching and good athletes.
KFDM COOP Posted February 23, 2006 Report Posted February 23, 2006 True, There have been several games where Tarver had a heck of a game plan in place.
Guest airitout123 Posted February 23, 2006 Report Posted February 23, 2006 He does seem to be a good coach. Having Dishon doesn't hurt. He seems to have had numerous kids sign with colleges over the last few years.
exbccards76smom Posted February 23, 2006 Author Report Posted February 23, 2006 Only thing is that he needs to learn to make adjustments at half-time. If one thing don't work, let's try something else.
bigred75 Posted February 23, 2006 Report Posted February 23, 2006 He does seem to be decent as a football coach. Other duties not to sure about, but he does put out a winning program for the most part. I have played against him never for him, can't say how he is behind the scenes.
AHUDDLESTON Posted February 24, 2006 Report Posted February 24, 2006 COACH TARVER IS QUALITY. ADJUSTMENTS AT HALF TIME? BOTH TEAMS MAKE ADJUSTMENTS AT THE HALF. IF YOU THINK IT IS EASY, GO TO SCHOOL FOR 4 YEARS AND THEN PUT YOUR TIME IN AND BECOME A HEAD COACH. WHAT MORE DO PEOPLE WANT? WHEN YOU WIN, IT'S ALL ATHLETES AND WHEN YOU LOSE IT'S ALL COACHING. REMEMBER THAT THE GAME PLAN IS CARRIED OUT BY 15 TO 18 YEAR OLDS.

bigred75 Posted February 24, 2006 Report Posted February 24, 2006 I most definitly agree that coaches get the screws put to them when they are losing, and its the kids when they are winning. I have seen that first hand.
AHUDDLESTON Posted February 24, 2006 Report Posted February 24, 2006 YES I COACHED THERE. SEND ME A MESSAGE, HOW DO WE KNOW EACH OTHER
KFDM COOP Posted March 10, 2006 Report Posted March 10, 2006 Once again i think Tarver is a great Coach.
