WOSgrad Posted December 31, 2010 Report Posted December 31, 2010 This game should be pretty close to done.
Wildcatter Posted December 31, 2010 Report Posted December 31, 2010 Kelly won by 19, always love playing there, refs were 25 mins late, apparently it was bottom of the barrel night and they stole some jerseys from the real officials and the kids couldnt stand up on the floor. Combine that with some of the worst shooting of the year and it was a great all around new years eve.
bmtcpa87 Posted January 3, 2011 Report Posted January 3, 2011 Final score was 68-49 Kelly. Leading scorers for Kelly were Taylor Pace with 20, Josh Kern with 12 and Andrew Messina with 11. And yes the refs were 30 minutes late, but through three quarters more fouls were called on Kelly than Orangefield so I'm not sure what he is complaining about.

[/quote]I wasn't aware "bad refereeing" meant your side got called for more fouls than the other.I thought "bad refereeing" meant that the referees made bad calls, or didn't make calls that they should have. Thanks for clearing that up. ;)
bmtcpa87 Posted January 3, 2011 Report Posted January 3, 2011 I didn't claim that the refs were bad and in fact I thought they called a pretty good game. They let the kids play. I heard both coaches telling their team to quit complaining about the refs becasue they aren't calling the touch fouls and just go up strong. It just like I tell my boys, if the first thing you are going to say is it was the refs fault when you loose, tell it to someone else because I don't want to hear it. Play the game, adjust to the what the refs are calling, and give 110%. No excuses.

Way too physical, pretty much takes pure derfense out of the equation. Do not enjoy watching anymore. Good example: Tampa Bay vs New Orlean yesterday, Tampa Bay going for it on 4th down and 1. QB fakes a handoff, the play was designed for the TE in the flat. He was held and mugged so Freeman throws a TD to Mike Williams who was also held and mugged in the inzone. Tampa Bay got lucky. My point is, No pure defense anymore. Pretty much a joke.
