KHSAlum400 Posted January 7, 2011 Report Posted January 7, 2011 Edward PersiaI know some would say J'Covan Brown, but I think he only played a few years at Kelly
hjhawks Posted January 8, 2011 Report Posted January 8, 2011 Taylor MullenaxEdward PersiaCan't remember the name, but went to Frodham in the mid 90's....
Coach Schrapps Posted January 8, 2011 Report Posted January 8, 2011 The list would be Taylor MullenaxEdward PersiaRyan ZummoJude MessinaAll four were thousand point scorers during their career. Three of these players played on the same team for two years.
katdaddy Posted January 8, 2011 Report Posted January 8, 2011 Ryan Hunter went to Fordham, he was a beast. There were also 2 brothers who played in the late 80's and early 90's, cant remember the names.

BLUEDOVE3 Posted January 8, 2011 Report Posted January 8, 2011 I always heard Kelly won TWO State championships with J. Brown at the helm. True or not?

Guest twag11 Posted January 9, 2011 Report Posted January 9, 2011 J'covan went to kelly for freshman and sophomore year then went to memorial
BLUEDOVE3 Posted January 9, 2011 Report Posted January 9, 2011 Any confirmation to whether or not Kelly won State with J. Brown playing?
Guest twag11 Posted January 9, 2011 Report Posted January 9, 2011 Kelly won 2 state championships with him playing but he want the whole team matt pace was good and so were many others and there is no denying that considering they won the state championship the year after he left to and nearly won it again the next year
poeticjustizz Posted January 9, 2011 Report Posted January 9, 2011 nearly isn't 2...so how can't he be one of the best even if he played only 2 years??
Guest twag11 Posted January 9, 2011 Report Posted January 9, 2011
nearly isn't 2...so how can't he be one of the best even if he played only 2 years??
what do you mean nearly isnt 2? and i wouldnt put him on this list considering he didnt play the majority of his high school career at kelly
BADSANTA Posted January 9, 2011 Author Report Posted January 9, 2011 I guess 2 out of 4 years is as close as majority as you can get in high school ball.
Guest twag11 Posted January 9, 2011 Report Posted January 9, 2011 ya i guess so im not saying hes a bad player i saw him play many times so dont get me wrong he is one of the best players ive seen play

poeticjustizz Posted January 9, 2011 Report Posted January 9, 2011 Yeah. And he only played 1 full season at MHS. So he actually played the majority of his career at Kelly. Dual Sport to be exact.

I've never seen Brown play in high school. But if this kid is playing major D-1 ball right now, surely he had a very serious impact on the game and their drive to State.

I'm just saying that other players contributed like Torry Henry Matt Falgout Will Taylor Matt Pace Johnathan Brown everyone makes it seem like J'covan stepped on the court and won a state championship by him self witch isn't true many other players were involved to and they should get credit to. Go onto the tapps web site and look at the all state picks from kelly in those years there were many other good players on the team yet j' covan was the best so he gets all the glory
