It used to be, Bidistrict, Area, Regional Semi, Regional Finals, then State. If you made the playoffs you played in every playoff game. I watched some games a couple of years back and they were not at Austin and they were the State Semi's. I think it was at SFA. How is the playoffs organized now? First team gets a by and meets a winner of someone in the area round. Then they go to the Regional Tournament for 2 games and then state. Is that how it is now? Curious question? Someone help me on this.
AggiesAreWe Posted January 9, 2011 Report Posted January 9, 2011 In 3A, if a team wins district, they get a bye in the Bi-District round. Then play Area, Quarterfinal, Regional Semifinal, and Regional Finals to advance to Austin. Regional semis and finals in Region III are held at the Regional tourney in Huntsville.Runnerup and 3rd place all play the Bi-District round.
