The #20 state ranked, #5 SETX Leggett Pirates will travel to Spurger to take on the #12 state ranked, #5 SETX Pirates in a crucial 24-1A DII district game TONIGHT. Leggett (12-9, 2-1) comes off a district loss to Burkeville, 69-68, while Spurger (14-8, 2-0) defeated Big Sandy in a non-distict battle, 49-40.

Broadcast time will be 10 minutes prior to tip which is scheduled for 7:30pm. Just click the link to listen to these two state ranked 1A teams battle for district supremacy.

They are small, no player over '6"1. They only have 8 players on varsity too, but they have very good speed and athleticism.

Spurger's post George Whittaker had his way with Leggett tonight, 30 points, 14 rebounds, but still wasn't enough.

It sounds like Spurger allowed too many points.  I know evidentally they did if they got beat they did but 74 points is alot of points to allow especially if it they were scored in the halfcourt and not on turnovers.

Thanks.. Thats a game I will be looking forward to..  Catman your right about the Rebs being slow and you know what they say ..They cant jump eather ;D ....I guess they will have to spend more time on the tanning beds  ;D
