Great game as a spectator, I really thought that the tigers would win this one easy with all of the talk from the so many people telling us that there is no way we could hang with the tigers.....I guess they just have not seen us play that good. The game had a big momentum swing and it swung in the way of the Tigers.....Good game Tigers, you won this one, but the next one watch out.....the Hawks will be coming for you...

This was a great game. The Hawks came to play but I believe our depth finally wore them out.  DC is very good and a lot of the plays he makes don't show up in the statistics. We hit our FTs down the stretch while the Hawks didn't.  Gus proved how good a PG he is. He seemed to find the open man at will.  When we made our run in the fourth, he was the only Hawk who seemed to handle the pressure. Bosha is gonna be a thorn in the Tigers side for quite a while.  I thought rebounding in the first half was big for the Hawks as well.  And when we would start a little run in the first half HJ would end it with a big shot.  One of those being a LONG rang 3 by Bosha.  Everything you could expect from this rivalry.

Got there at 4:30 and stayed there till the great ending. First half you could tell that Silsbee played very little the past several weeks. Second half Silsbee rub a little rust off and played a little better, hope all the rust is off the next time these two teams play. Oh and Coach Travis you missed a good one, hurry back. Go Tigers!!!

The 4th quarter was Silsbee's!! They opened the quarter on a 13-0 run, turning a 6 point deficit, 46-40, to a 7 point lead, 53-46. They extended the run to 20-4, getting a 10 point lead with 2:30 minutes left, 60-50. Both teams basically traded baskets the remaining 2 minutes.


Yes LAZEEK, DC is very, very good!! He scored 17 of his 21 points in the 2nd half, scoring 10 in the 4th, to lead the Tigers to victory.

Things I observed. 1) Prudhomme is a beast! He isn't as good as DC but he is a better rebounder. 2) 32 for HJ is a darn good player. Silsbee really had no one to hold him 3) Silsbee overall played sloppy. Bad passes and bad shooting 4). HJ has a team that is very equal to Silsbee's. 5) Gustafason is a better point guard that I thought.

Sorry I was just poking a little fun, because we have heard for three weeks how prudhomme couldn't hang with DC.....I never heard anyone from HJ say anything negative about DC, we all know he is awesome, but prudhomme holds his own. At least now you know..... :o

Here is my responses and all 5 are pretty good observations:

1.  Prudhomme is very good, but DC is a hell of a rebounder as well.
2.  Persohn #32 is solid and no Silsbee had no one to check him.
3.  Silsbee played sloppy, made bad passes and took poor shots, but that had to do with the defensive pressure that HJ applied.
4.  Maybe now people will agree that is two really good teams.
5.  Gus is very good, but wish he would get his confidence back and shoot it more!!!

Why does Bosha shoot 3ks from 27 feet out? If he takes 3 to 5 steps in, it will help him. His 3ks are longer than NBA range. Doesn't matter how far back, its all 3 pointers.

I think I said Prudhomme wasn't too far behind DC,  but DC doesn't have to score as many when he has 11 players scoring HJ had to have more from its star because the didn't have that many contributing.  DC made a lot of plays that won't show up in rebounds or points.

DC had 17 in the 2nd half and they had no other player in double figures..........DC needed to score in the 2nd half for the Tigers to win........and he did!!!!!!

Bottom line is both are very good and DC is the best this year and Prudhomme will likely be the best player in the area next season since he is only a junior and it is only his 2nd season on varsity.  Where as DC has been a starter for 4 years at Silsbee!!!
