Two SETXsports.com Dirty Dozen teams will square off in a 21-3A district battle as the #10 WOS Mustangs will travel up to Silsbee to take on the #7 state ranked, #1 SETX Tigers at the Tigers Den TONIGHT at 7:30pm. The Mustangs (11-11, 1-0) winners of 6 straight, got a district opening win over cross county rival Bridge City, 94-30. Silsbee (20-2, 1-0) defeated their arch rivals Hardin-Jefferson to open up district, getting a 64-56 win over the Hawks. The Tigers currently have a 9 game win streak. Silsbee swept WOS in district last year and also defeated the Mustangs in the quarterfinal round of the playoffs.


Broadcast time will begin 10 minutes prior to tip off which is scheduled for 7:30pm (could be as late as 8pm). Check the thread for the correct start time. Click link provided to listen to another 21-3A battle!

Athletes and a new coach. They are playing much better basketball of late from when I saw them play a few games early in the season. They will give Silsbee all they want.

[/quote] True, but keeping it real, WOS is the only other team that might have a chance of catching Silsbee flat. I feel even with a off night they can beat the other 3 teams

      I like Newton’s chances here. I’ve watched  videos of Daingerfield what few I could get. Their big Qb scares me a little he looks Ike a good athlete. I think for a change Newton has a little more speed than the Tigers. That Samuel kid for Newton can move., and it goes without saying about Porter. That Hunter kid ain’t bad either. They scared me to death with their pass defense against Edgewood until I saw the video. That Qb for Edgewood can put it on a dime. And, his receivers could catch it. I’m pumped; this is the most fun time of the year for me. Go Eagles.🦅 I have to add this though. I watched the State game between the tigers and Yoe in 2010. Those guys looked like grown men playing as opposed to kids now a days who look like boys.😂 that was a heck of a good game.
