Nederland is going to be very strong this year, they have incredible depth on that team.
Big shoes to fill with graduation of those two big lefty's in Bellow and Laird, but Nederland has plenty of arms. Stone can beat anyone over at PNG, but it looks like a traditional year. Ned, PNG, LCM, Vidor pick a spot for any of these with Lumberton the spoiler who could get in.

how about the transfer's....

WOS - McCarsen left HJ transferred to WOS
Nederland - Players everywhere on the roster, addition of Duplant(HJ transfer)
LCM - soph Swan is gonna impact Pitching staff / Drouillard transferred there from WOS
Lumberton - Townsend transferred back there from Kelly
Kelly - Warner transferred there from Westbrook

Then may have over looked, Vidor Bubba Maxwell, Armstrong, Tyler Kennon

Alot of players that will make a huge impact left off the above list of last years All-District returnees.

Heard about the MaCarsen kid, just haven't seen it published or got verification. He should help the Mustangs.

Coach Robbins has a nice problem at Nederland, players everywhere and Duplant can play, doesn't matter he was at the 3A level last year.

The Swan kid has all the tools over at LCM, that outfield of the Bears will be hard to match, Carline, Gonzales and Drouillard. Griff has to find a SS, Vaughn might have to take over that position.

Help me with the Warner kid from WB.

Over at Vidor Bubba Maxwell is a player, signed at the next level and was left off the all-district picks last year. He can hit and get people out.

No doubt Townsend will be in the rotation for the Raiders. They need to play defense and hit in the clutch, if that happens playoffs are not out of the question.

Help me with the Warner kid from WB.
Preston Warner is now at Kelly. As a sophomore last year, he was West Brook's most effective and consistent pitcher. He beat 5A Regional Finalist Pearland with a complete game 3-hitter in the playoffs.

Warner is 6'4" and has been verified at 88-89 mph (Pefrect Game, LSU, ...). He is playing on the Southeast Texas Sun Devils and has gotten great evaluations.

Kelly plays in a tough baseball district with St. Thomas (Biggio) and Houston Christian (Mathis), but Warner should be dominate at this level also.

Warner also plays the corner infield positions, and is one of the best hitters in our area.

I agree with you Big Mac... Preston Warner will be one of the top pitchers (if not the top) in this area. He had a great year last year at West Brook as a Soph... He is a strong right hander with great stuff. Preston not only has a great fastball, but a wicked curveball, change and slider. He works ahead of the batters and keeps them off balanced. I believe he will dominate this season.
Prestons bat, like Big Mac said is one of the tops. He swings the bat with power and can crush the ball. I look for big numbers from him this year...

Well there is only one preseason #1 state ranked team in the area and it was done by coaches who know alot more about the game than most of of course that team is the Evadale Rebels!

They also were the last team playing in the area last year as well. Can they beat a 5A or a 4A team, well they would have to play to know for a fact, but since they will only have to face 1A teams in a run back to Austin (Round Rock actually) then want does not being able to beat an upper classicacation school mean really?

Not being able to beat an upper classification team means you aren't better than that team.
The point is we do not get the opportunity to even try, since no 5A will ever schedule a 1A team. But each classification has to beat who they are in the class with. The teams in AA or AAA ball never get to play in the MLB World Series, but they get to compete for the championship of their league. We are 1A and being the best 1A is what we shoot for.

Now for a final question is being the state champion in 1A better than being a district champion in any other class that gets knocked out short of the state title? Just a question.

No.  I'd be embarrassed to claim a 1A championship.          :D :D ;D ;D
