Lazeek Posted January 24, 2011 Report Posted January 24, 2011 If the OF boys show up that played HJ this will be a game that is played within 12 points or so..........of not, then it will be a 30+ point win for the Tigers!!!!!!!

BADSANTA Posted January 25, 2011 Report Posted January 25, 2011 Silsbee hasn't been a full team for a game and a half. Look for them to jump out early and often. I tell you what, it seems that the games are alot closer this year than in the the past. Could be a time where Orangefield, BC, and HF are fight for the top. Never know.

BLUEDOVE3 Posted January 25, 2011 Report Posted January 25, 2011 Looks like the parity is beginning to unfold a little as we move forward towards my predictions 2 years ago.

I may be going to Lauberge later this week and would certainly appreciate any advice you could provide.
SHSTIGER Posted January 27, 2011 Report Posted January 27, 2011 So, by making a logical prediction of this game being relatively close, can we say that these people were making illogical predictions based on the outcome of the game?

That HAS to be able to help me win a few $. And your advice is always welcomed, whether solicited or not. The more opinions one has, the easier it is to come to a reasonable conclusion, particularly in the case of dead horses and 911 calls.
SHSTIGER Posted January 27, 2011 Report Posted January 27, 2011 So, you maintain that the predictions of a 30-40 pt. win over HF by the Tigers was illogical?
stevenash Posted January 27, 2011 Report Posted January 27, 2011
So, you maintain that the predictions of a 30-40 pt. win over HF by the Tigers was illogical?
Sir, in my humble and unenlightened opinion, to predict 30-40 point wins between any two teams in this district is illogical. If one analyzes the scores of every game played within the district to this point, I would deduce(unscientifically, of course) that the average margin of victory is considerably less than 30-40 points. It would seem to me that after analyzing said data, one could logically conclude that such predictions have a reasonable likelihood of being reflected upon as illogical by the majority of those who might choose to analyze and respond. It might be interesting to merely look at the scores of all the games played and just see what percentage of the victories were by margins in excess of 30 points. I have to believe that percentage is somewhat miniscule.
