I was told they will start off 3A for the first couple of years. Watch out gor this school in about 5 or 6 years. They take in the last section of the woodlands being built and I'm sure will have an abundance of athletes.

Vanover tells Angleton good-bye; Hello Tomball Memorial

As theoldcoach.com first reported, Angleton ISD Athletics Director Finis Vanover accepted the job at new Tomball Memorial and told Angleton players Monday morning of his decision.

He told The Facts Monday afternoon the prospect of launching a program from scratch at Tomball ISD was just too goo
"This has been a dream of mine to create one from the start, and as a coach there would be nothing better than that," Vanover said. "There is no preconceived notions, no old system, no holdover coaches, no grudges from kids or parents, so it just can't get any better than that.

"It is an opportunity financially, professionally, that not many coaches get. I've been doing 35 years of this and this is my first one. It is one of those bucket list deals that you would love to attempt and see if you can handle it."

I remember a Vanover at McNeese in the 70's, could this be the same person?

I believe he was a former French Buffalo player.
