Guest mffl Posted January 27, 2011 Report Posted January 27, 2011 That Lamar and TCU will meet up at Jerryworld due to Amon G. Carter's renovations. Don't take it to the bank, but you heard it here first.
bigred360 Posted January 27, 2011 Report Posted January 27, 2011 The WBB team will play TCU in Fort Worth next year. MBB going to Kentucky.

HoopInsider_Cooper Posted January 27, 2011 Report Posted January 27, 2011 And TCU cries about respect? LOL....
Lazeek Posted January 27, 2011 Report Posted January 27, 2011 If Lamar plays in Jerry World next year I will be there for sure!!!!
epg2793 Posted January 27, 2011 Report Posted January 27, 2011 Next year's schedule is already set. It would have to be another year but sounds great.EPG
puddin tane Posted January 27, 2011 Report Posted January 27, 2011 read that on the bmt ent website...would have to drop so. bammy and pay em 100k, or drop Tex st....later bobcats...
bigred360 Posted January 27, 2011 Report Posted January 27, 2011 It will be a non conference game that will be dropped if TCU is added. So it will be either Langston, South Alabama or South Dakota Lamar breaks their contract with to schedule the Horned Frogs at Cowboy Stadium. But, Puddin you are right they could drop Texas State.

sleepy Posted January 27, 2011 Report Posted January 27, 2011 I know for a fact that the schedule can still be changed. However I was told they were changing for a home game because we were short one game. From the horses mouth!

Guest EagleFan01 Posted January 27, 2011 Report Posted January 27, 2011 Lamar kept South Alabama on the schedule dropped Texas State and yes they can do that because Texas State is not able to compete for a SLC championship next season since they are going to the WAC. So it will be Langson first then Incarnate Word instead of South Dakota then go to South Alabama and to Fort Worth

NorthoftheBorder Posted January 27, 2011 Report Posted January 27, 2011 On the surface this sounds really cool, but unless everybody knows something I don't we are no where near ready to play TCU in football anywhere on the planet, much less Jerry World. Maybe in 5-7 more years, 3 if Woodard is the real deal. And that is conceding a loss, but being competitive enough to not get embarrassed.

coachacola Posted January 27, 2011 Report Posted January 27, 2011 They must be playing TCU for the money. The South Dakota was an away game so instead of losing money (or making a little money) Lamar will now make a lot of money. It'll also give Lamar at lot more publicity!
BearWolf Posted January 27, 2011 Report Posted January 27, 2011 If Lamar can get this worked out this will be invaluable publicity.
Lazeek Posted January 27, 2011 Report Posted January 27, 2011 LU played in the Georgia Dome this year.......they can handle the atmosphere of CowGIRLS Stadium!!!

If the money and exposure is there it is worth the loss.

They called the dogs off pretty quick and worked hard not to totally embarras GSU. It could have been so much worse. Don't know if TCU's coach would do the same. If he has a Billy Tubbs mentality, they would hang a 100 on us in a heart beat. Not sure that would be beneficial in the short or long term. I could see doing this if Woodard and the TCU coach were buddies and they would have mercy on us. Just to soon to play a team that finished 2nd in the final polls for last season. I like the progression that the schedule makes right now with Hawaii, OSU and TAMU in each of the successive years starting in 2012.
Lazeek Posted January 27, 2011 Report Posted January 27, 2011 Tubbs and Tidwell were both at TCU before Lamar!!!! Must be some connection!!!!
AJ25 Posted January 27, 2011 Report Posted January 27, 2011 Is this for football or basketball?? Confused ???
