coachacola
I've been scanning some of the Texas A&M message boards and it seems as though all the FBS schools backed away from him. It was even suggested that A&M was backing down from their offer. But I hope he does well at SFA.

LCM2LU
Maaaan that's a pretty bad snub. AtM you can stomach, but SFA is a pretty intense burn lol. Oh well. So much for all those "hints".
Alpha Wolf
Utterly disappointed!!! Happy for him that he can continue his education but I'm still buying those season tickets to Lamar. If we play SFA here then I'll see him play, otherwise...

hipster
Seems like Woodard should have been recruiting harder than playing on a damn computer while at work. What kind of job is this?? Explains why he has been so many places in the last 10 yrs.
Ruckdad
What? You do realize he brought in Paul, Johnson, the new 3 star OL Campbell and several others in this class. You can't get them all and Woodard has done a good job.
ForeverADog
He is only allowed to talk to a player so much. I'm sure he did all he could to get Ford.

I'm sure they did everything they could to land him. Just about the only local he let slip away...

Guest ECBucFan
It made sense because SFA is FAR from a running team.
That has been true, as long as Jeremy Moses was at QB, but things are about to change. I posted the following in the FB forum:SFA: Near perfect fit. SFA is transitioning to more of a running style with the departure of All-Everything Peyton Award Winner QB Jeremy Moses. Attaway will still sling it, but a more balanced attack with rushing will be used. Whole talented O-line comes back (only allowed 11 sacks during all of last season, and SFA passed most every play!), and SFA will win immediately. Program ranked #9 nationally. Also, Nac is nearly as close to Kirbyville as Beaumont is.

How can you claim their transitioning to a running team when they have half a dozen QBs on there team, as well as about a 15 WRs. I don't see them transitioning at all, they've done nothing to indicate that they'll switch to more of a balanced ground game. Their new offensive coordinator is from West Texas A&M and runs basically a mirror offense to their last guy. Those offensive lineman are NOT run blocking lineman, like you just said, they are pass blockers. Also, Nac is twice as far away as Beaumont.
