ForeverADog Posted January 29, 2011 Report Posted January 29, 2011 Low scoring. 3 to 2 PNG 4 minutes in.
ForeverADog Posted January 29, 2011 Report Posted January 29, 2011 13 to 8 at the end of 1. Png leads. Great atmosphere.
ForeverADog Posted January 29, 2011 Report Posted January 29, 2011 I hate horrible referees. At least they see consistently bad. 17 to 12 PNG with 3:43 left in the half.
ForeverADog Posted January 29, 2011 Report Posted January 29, 2011 32 to 28 PNG with 3:52 left in the 3rd.
ForeverADog Posted January 29, 2011 Report Posted January 29, 2011 Tied at 40. 5:37 left. Typical PNG Ned. Very intense and back and forth.
ForeverADog Posted January 29, 2011 Report Posted January 29, 2011 Kelvin Smith put back at the buzzer Ned wins 48 to 46!
adminbaberuth Posted January 29, 2011 Report Posted January 29, 2011 Hot dog eating, marbles, doesn't matter, best $5.00 ever spent when these two get together.
NDFan09 Posted January 29, 2011 Report Posted January 29, 2011 Couldn't make it out there tonight due to work but thanks for the updates foreveradog, sounds like it was a great game.
ForeverADog Posted January 29, 2011 Report Posted January 29, 2011 Png allowed Ned to hold the ball for the last 1:30 which I don't agree with first of all. That allows Ned to completely control the game. But they worked it around to English for an open 3 who just missed it but Smith got the rebound and scored as time expired.
Guru99 Posted January 29, 2011 Report Posted January 29, 2011 PN-G lost the game when they stood back for a COMPLETE minute and let the bullpups have the last shot..good one abel, maybe thats why the playoffs haven't been around in 15+ years
ForeverADog Posted January 29, 2011 Report Posted January 29, 2011 Agreed guru. You have to make Ned make a play. At worst you get the ball back down 2. With a minute to score but PNG would have at least had the ball!
CThoops Posted January 29, 2011 Report Posted January 29, 2011 It never seems to matter with these two teams.. Always a great game! I can tell you one thing, Nederland has the most close-game experience in the entire area for sure ;)
Guru99 Posted January 29, 2011 Report Posted January 29, 2011 I mean you have to make something happen, you have to go at the kid and make him dribble the ball, who knows what could happen(double dribble, travel, stolen pass, ect.). YOU DON'T JUST STAND BACK AND LET THE OPPONENT TAKE THE LAST SHOT.
BMTSoulja1 Posted January 29, 2011 Report Posted January 29, 2011 Wow! That's the same way the Indians lost to my Jags... On a last second tip in with the game tied. IMO, I think it was a great idea to let Ned hold for the last shot. You let your defense determin the outome of the game. It sound like it worked just as the PN-G coach planned... Except sounds like the Indian team got caught with their mouths open and forgot to box out, which cost them the game. How could you not find one of the star players at this time? You knew they would crash the boardds..
TradinUp BH Posted January 29, 2011 Report Posted January 29, 2011 Proud of my NDNS battled to the end. Great game by both! NDNS had chances! Hopefully we can sneak into the playoffs.
