I like to stay focused on what it will take for LU to be successful, whether we make the move to WAC or stay FCS.  If we move, I trust that Dr. Simmons and his team of Tubbs and Tidwell have prepared a very detailed plan that includes what is would take financially to be successful, not just the minimum that would be needed.  Lets do this right and have a real chance to elevate the program and the University.  This could be huge for LU and Beaumont.  As for our friends at Sam, I wish nothing but the best for them and I wouldn't mind at all if they joined us in a move if we make it.  Would love to see ULL make the move to the WAC as well.  That would be a great addition for LU.

Let's also stop focusing on how much better we are than SHSU. Instead of comparing ourselves to other schools lets just be proud of Lamar for what Lamar is. Basically, if we are going to trash SHSU how does that make us any better than what some of the SHSU fans tend to do from time to time?

I hope Lamar has made their decision on the move by now.  Because this could be a great recruiting tool for coach Woodard.  He is not recruiting for an FCS but for FBS.  By the time these players graduate Lamar could be in an FBS conference. 

So if young Mr. Ford is on the fence....

Yea, reading some of this stuff gets my blood to the boiling point. Is not like any of them are in the Top 25 in football, basketball or baseball.

Don't know what they are so high and mighty about?

Actually isn't Utah State #25 in the basketball polls?  A Utah State fan was posting here the other day and basically their fan base is upset that they got left behind and didn't get to move up to the MWC.  If the WAC invite doesn't come then we'll feel the same way around here.

lil utah has decent basketball ( they are ranked 20ish), not much in football w/ poor attendance, and dont play baseball

They only lost to BYU by 6 points and Georgetown by 17. I seen where they are 20th this week in USA poll. They are 20-2, but reading thier board seems like they are cocky. I could see not liking them very much ;D

Once Lamar goes FBS, I was thinking if it was better to play Nebraska in the Rose Bowl or Ohio st in
the Orange Bowl. Worse case is Lamar meet Oklahoma in the Cotton Bowl. Wooten what do you think?
