Bigdog Posted January 31, 2011 Report Posted January 31, 2011 Unless my math is wrong (which is possible) Nederland can reach the 500 win mark this coming season with 7 wins and join a small group of schools in that club. They are currently at 493. Let's get it done this season!!
cornhusker Posted February 2, 2011 Report Posted February 2, 2011 If the Dogs do what they did last year it will be 2012 before it is reached. I hope thats not in the making. I am still not over the Crosby game.
Bigdog Posted February 2, 2011 Author Report Posted February 2, 2011 We need to keep the injury bug away! That has killed us the last two years.

dawgnut Posted February 3, 2011 Report Posted February 3, 2011 The young Dog's improved all season, I look for them to start strong in the fall. With the addition of more young blood they have the potential to be very good.
comeonman Posted February 3, 2011 Report Posted February 3, 2011 Is it the system that has made them so successful? What do they run offensively? Neumann has been there for quite a long time -has he changed with the times or stuck with the same offense and taught it through the entire system?
Bigdog Posted February 3, 2011 Author Report Posted February 3, 2011 They have changed the offense according to personnel, we went to the spread a few years ago and added the wildcat last year.
Bigdog Posted February 3, 2011 Author Report Posted February 3, 2011 Scooter, why the last 12? Injuries are part of the game but we have had some pretty good seasons the last 12 years. We just seem to be snakebit the last couple of seasons.
WOSgrad Posted February 3, 2011 Report Posted February 3, 2011 I don't know, Scooter is pretty accurate about the injuries at quarterback. Dean, Sampere, Bellow, Forney and others.
orangecoog Posted February 7, 2011 Report Posted February 7, 2011 The dogs open the season against the WOS Mighty Mustangs, a little ole 3A school, who has some history. The dogs will not count this first one toward the seven they need to reach 500.

football04 Posted February 10, 2011 Report Posted February 10, 2011 You got some news for us dawgnut, just spit it out , I hate trying to solve rhymes and riddles or read between the lines, we tweeking offensive formations shuffling players around, what do ya got besides blooming flowers

Bigdog Posted February 10, 2011 Author Report Posted February 10, 2011 I agree with football04, if you know something just tell us!
dawgnut Posted February 11, 2011 Report Posted February 11, 2011 What I hear is that we are going to unleash a bold new offense, you will see a strange creature in the backfield a fullback with the QB under center! But that's just rumor now!
Guest Brubaker Posted February 11, 2011 Report Posted February 11, 2011 Just don't expect the Dogs to be predictable..... some folks use the spread as a change of pace, could the Dogs be the first to use the I as a change of pace??? Could the Dogs be the first to use a balance between counter trey and read option??? time will tell... As BASEBOW will tell you. Don't matter if you don't play defense. But gotta feeling we do that pretty well next year.

dawgnut Posted February 14, 2011 Report Posted February 14, 2011 I think our D will be better in the trenches, but I don't know about the DB's. I don't think I would put a lot in the 3 TD's per game.
Bigdog Posted February 18, 2011 Author Report Posted February 18, 2011 We definitely need work in the secondary.
