They have a few free shows around Houston each year. They bring in guys like Horry, Cassell, Foster (this year), Kenny Smith, and a few old school Oilers. I met the entire Miami Heat team back when Lamar Odom and Shaq was there at the Four Seasons downtown. They all signed by basketball which was awesome.

Collecting sports memorabilia is mostly for people who don't play sports or were not the best of athletes................that is why I have baseballs, footballs, a basketball, baseball bat, hockey stick, baseball cards, magazines and pictures all autographed!!!!! ;D ;D ;D

Lazeek not true. I know ton of former athletes both pro and college who collect memorabilia. At the last Tri Star show I attended I witness Donney Avery (Rams) and Arian Foster walk around and buy 3-4 signed framed jerseys. Foster picked up a Vick and Earl Campbell signed jersey. Most of that stuff is so pricey that I usually try to do the in person autos. Almost 60% of NBA players and 40 %of the NFL live in Houston. If you have time during the summer, you would be amazed at who you would find at the Fonde Rec Center in downtown.

speechless, remember, BADSANTA said "almost" 60%. He could of meant 1-59%. ;) ;D

I have learned over the last couple of days that people post things to mean something totally different than what was posted. ;) ;D

If you guys would use the computer, you can actually find the facts I justed stated in a article in the chronicle. As of 2008, almost 60 of NBA players have a home in Houston. Reason being cost of living and no state taxes. Google the info or ill sen it to you. ITS a FACT!

More NFL players reside in Houston vs any other major US city. That's a fact. Again cost of living. Here are some NBA players you wouldn't have a clue that live here. Derron Williams, JR Smith, Damon Stoudamire, Glen Davis, Shaq (has a home in sweetwater), Marcus Camby, Juwan Howard, McGrady, Richard Hamilton, McDyess, Boozer, Chris Duhon, Chris Paul, TJ Ford, Paul Pierce (offseaon training lives in Royal Oaks), Danny Granger, Milsap, Ben Gordon, and Shawn Kemp (lives in a apartment on Westheimer).

Most players do have more than one home. A season and off season. Off season these guys live here. A few years ago most of the guys use to play at the Westside Tennis Club. I've ran into Mark Henry a few times at the fonde as well a few years back. I use to always seem him at the Longhorn games back in 05 and 08.

I can't argure with BadSanta on this because I just don't know and don't have the interest to look it up.  But, if true, you got to admit the guy is the master of inane statistics. ;)
