KFDM COOP Posted February 5, 2011 Report Posted February 5, 2011 http://blog.beaumontenterprise.com/huddle/2011/02/04/pn-g-stadium-closed-to-public/
Cardinal Supporter Posted February 5, 2011 Report Posted February 5, 2011 Well I'm sure the locals who use the track hate this but who can blame them if the stadium was being vandalized.
WOSgrad Posted February 5, 2011 Report Posted February 5, 2011 It is a shame that the same public who essentially paid for it can't use it because of the actions of some idiots.

Everywhere!
PNGFan Posted February 7, 2011 Report Posted February 7, 2011 There is a new walking track and football field at the PN Junior High everyone can use.

samsung Posted February 7, 2011 Report Posted February 7, 2011 Anybody else think that PNG officials just looking for a reason to close the stadium to the public?
Guest tappedout Posted February 8, 2011 Report Posted February 8, 2011 Yes, I heard that kid's were playing football on the weekend and thought they were damaging the turf. I have not heard anything about the vandalism. For the most part, there was alway's adult's just walking.
Guest jhamilton Posted February 8, 2011 Report Posted February 8, 2011 Not many but somd idiot have no repsect and another example. We have a middle school stadium and track by our house and you see people riding bikes, walking their dogs and little teams working out on the field wihout permission. Hate to see it for PNG folks but what do you do?
PURPLE 4EVER Posted February 8, 2011 Report Posted February 8, 2011 I think this was the right decision.
pngnative05 Posted March 2, 2011 Report Posted March 2, 2011 For the ones complaining about them shutting it down to public. The reasons consist of people breaking into the concession stand on the home side and also breaking into the press box. These are the reasons why the coach closed the stadium and track down. Now we have to keep the adults from jumping over the fence by the visitors side so they can run stands.

Don't know if this is true but I don't blame Burnette for closing the stadium after all of this happened.
BMTSoulja1 Posted March 2, 2011 Report Posted March 2, 2011 Wow! Spray painting the stands? Yes, Burnett did the right thing. Lock it up after school hours. Only open it up when there is staff there to monitor. It's sad when grown people have to be chaperoned...
dayton Posted March 2, 2011 Report Posted March 2, 2011 This is why we can't have nice things!!!!!!!!

Jackthehammer Posted March 3, 2011 Report Posted March 3, 2011 My coworker said that there was also skateboarding on the track as well as bike riding.
PNG Proud Posted March 3, 2011 Report Posted March 3, 2011 I've also seen people walking their dogs, when the signage clearly say "no pets allowed". And for those that don't see a problem, those same idiots would also let those same dogs dump anywhere they want to.
cornhusker Posted March 5, 2011 Report Posted March 5, 2011 Very possible those dogs was from across the tracks. lmao!
Jackthehammer Posted March 5, 2011 Report Posted March 5, 2011 I heard two new rumors: The circus was going to be held there. 2 The military will hold tank driving classes there in 2 weeks. Who knows what could be next.
