Once again the Goose looked good on the mound limiting South Houston to 1 run in 12 innings.
Bats were alive as well banging in at least 9 runs. (6 batters/inning kept it closer than it would have been)
Next action is at 4:00 vs Sam Rayburn at GCM.

That scrimmage is on Tuesday by the way.

19-4A should be fun to watch for sure.

Jasper 22 Lumberton 3  A long day at the park but both team's hit the ball good. Jasper had a few double play's. Jasper hit pretty well and good defense, Jasper pitch Burleson, Bolton, Clark, Floyd, David, Horn, Due.

Deweyville - 16 or 17 to Newton - 1

Good work for both teams, Pirates hit the ball well and looked pretty good in the field.  Pitchers looked good, (Williams, Howell, McHenry) each pitched two innings.

Couple of sources tell me the Bears took it to West Brook. Anyone verify?

I know that a LCM soph. on varsity hit a grand slam in the 1st inning and a 2 run bomb in the 5th. LCM will be solid !

Brandon Humphrey hit the slam I was told.

Westbrook is going to struggle to find enough pitching this year.  The loss of warner, plus a couple of other juniors who are out with arm trouble, has left them even thinner.  they have a few kids that might be a ble to step up, but it's hard to tell since none of the Brook pitchers are allowed to throw breaking pitches this early in the season.

Then they was bouncing a bunch of them. ;D

yeah.  Most of these kids have never thrown changeups.  i know my son hasn't, and he is struggling to control it.

Just was having fun with you westend. WestBrook had some kids throw that looked like they could end up being good. After a rough start their pitching settled down and threw pretty well. Best of luck to ya'll and your son this season!
