East Chambers defeats Hardin 65-50.

Jones and Davis lead the Bucs with 13 points a peace.  Dumas lead the Hornets with 16 and James had 12.

EC played well and "as usual" Hardin lost composure.  OK, OK. [i]Now[/i] its [u]official[/u]. EC #1 in Basketball as well as #1 in Football!  Go Bucs!  ;D

True a few Hardin players lost composure.  EC shot 34 FT's, to Hardins 8, would have some lose composure. Not an excuse, they still have to play no matter how one sided the calls were at home. 

Good luck to Kountze, Anahuac and EC in the playoffs.

Gosh, what's going on in EC?! A few weeks ago EC shot 35 FT's compared to Kountze shooting 3.  ???

All things aside congrats EC on the district Championship!! Ill be pulling for all the district teams through out the playoffs.. Go lions go bucs and go panthers best of luck in the playoffs

Jumpers would not fall early on, so EC adjusted correctly. Also, Hardin got frustrated and that alone accounted for some EC ft's. EC did [u]not[/u] have refs biased for them at Hardin, it was opposing styles of play and composure that was the difference.

BTW, did Jasons Deli show up in Hardin for the EC players????

Lost composure only account for 6 FT's.  One was a foul and then tech on one player in the 3rd, who fouled out,  then another tech on a different player. It did not account for the rest of the 34 FT's, not counting the 6 fouls you doon't shoot on before the FT's start each half. 

The refs did call a few bad calls, that went Hardin's way, maybe 3 or 4. and the EC crowd boo'd the ref for it.  But for a team that pressed the whole game, only commiting 8 fouls, the refs just let them play. Alot of jumpers were not shot in the 1st half, excellent defense by Hardin then. 

The difference is Hardin did not have a deep bench and it hurt. But the FTs were a huge part. EC did fine FT shooting making 21 of the 34. 

Again,  good luck to EC in the playoffs.

Hardin is a young team, 3 freshman and 4 soph's on Varsity this year. One freshman started every game, and another started in alot of them.  Keep working, get in the gym.

Chick Fil A did deliver to Deweyville for Hardin's game there.

Go figure. I don't think Jason's Deli has been wooing employees from the NASA space program to become delivery drivers. ;D ;D
