If those players can help the team win, shouldn't he play them? Especially if he is so concerned about winning?

Reading between the lines, players feelings don't count, but Roc's do.  They will sit on the bench if they are not practicing as hard as he thinks they should be.

Roc reminds me of a peewee coach,  " if they would play like I tell them to we would win" alway's a bunch of excuses and no accountabillity on his part.
All I can say is Roc this is YOUR team if they don't have the right attitude who's fault is that, makes me think of the movie remember the titans, "attitude reflects leadership".
