HoopInsider_Cooper Posted February 20, 2011 Report Posted February 20, 2011 Estacado rolling into the playoffs looking to repeat in 3A.

BADSANTA Posted February 20, 2011 Report Posted February 20, 2011 If Silsbee gets to state, they will have more than their hands full!
KHSAlum400 Posted February 20, 2011 Report Posted February 20, 2011 Some say the game was worse than the score indicates. Estacado took Lincoln straight to the woodshed yesterday.
ST413 Posted February 21, 2011 Report Posted February 21, 2011 Estacado is tuff!! One thing in the Tigers favor after looking at the rankings, if they get to Austin they won't meet Esacado until the finals, as the Tigers would have the second best winning percentage, unless there is an overlooked unranked team with a better record.
PoppaBearstarr Posted February 21, 2011 Report Posted February 21, 2011 Estacado is tuff, there is no doubt....I thought we had them in 09 and they pulled it out, I forgot but I think our game with them went into 2 OT's
AggiesAreWe Posted February 21, 2011 Report Posted February 21, 2011 I just hope that my Silsbee Tigers gets a chance to play Estacado. That would mean they were in the state championship game and I'll take my chances with just one game with everything on the line.Estacado would probably win a 7 game series, but with it just one game, lot's of things can happen.
no-look Posted February 21, 2011 Report Posted February 21, 2011 Who would Argyle play first if they make it?
ST413 Posted February 22, 2011 Report Posted February 22, 2011 All of this depends on what 4 teams make it to Austin. Lets assume the teams with the best records from each region make it. Doesn't seem like that ever happens though. Region 1 Estacado 32-1 now 37-1 in Austin , Region 2 Argyle 30-3 now 35-3 in Austin, Region 3 Silsbee 30-2, 35-2 in Austin, Region 4 West Oso 29-3 & 34-3. The winning percetages: Estacado 97.4 Argyle 92.1 Silsbee 94.6 West Oso 91.9.So Estacado and Silsbee would be seeded 1 and 2 and placed in oppopsite games and the other two would be drawn to see who they faced. If someone else goes from our region goes Argyle would jump into second and guarantee themselves of not facing Estacado until the finals.

sleepy Posted February 22, 2011 Report Posted February 22, 2011 Silsbee is making it to state. You can count on that!
docrivers Posted February 22, 2011 Report Posted February 22, 2011 A warm up game is not the playoffs. That win meant very little to Estacado. In fact, many from Estacado felt after watching Kennedale they would pose a more difficult challenge than Lincoln did. Any of the top 3 from region 1 (Estacado, Burk, Kennedale) will be capable of winning it all. There will be plenty of competition for everybody. AAW is right, in a one game scenario anything can happen. Good luck to all.
