KFDM COOP
I know this will also be on our Nominations Forum soon for our all SETX team but up to this point who would be Coach of the Year in SE Texas? Don't just be a Homer.
NedDog
Considering the turnaround they made in 2006, right now, I'd have to go with Coach Moody at LCM.

SETEXFan
Don't forget about Coach Stewart at Dayton. Picked 4th by most people and has done nothing short of dominate this district. Coach Moody has done a good job but my vote would go to Dayton's head man.
JS
w/o a doubt it goes to Coach Stewart of Dayton--he brought his team into arguably one of the toughest districts in Texas and dominated---who could ask for more?

sticky
Don Price--Barbers Hill. Makes the move up to 4A and still wins. Add to that the fact that he doesn't have a Earl Thomas, Brandon Williams or Michael Dugat to put on the field and he seems to be a good choice. Guest etbu
Coach Hooks and Olin would head up my list.

Guest GoStangs
I don't see how a coach of a team that can't finish over .500 and, at best, may make 3rd place could ever be the coach of the year. That's just silly. Hooks or Valastro should get the nod. Not only do their teams have undefeated records, they've earned at least a part of their records by leading their teams over schools with larger enrollments. Guest LCM Volleyball
 Well for one considering we had a few starters quit on the team several weeks back he's done a great job. When was the last time we beat PNG and played Nederland so close. We have had a much improved season than years past.
wo-76
How about rephrasing the question to coaching staff of the year.Spread the wealth because no head coach can do it by himself.Staff of year from Dayton,WOS, East Chambers or West Brook.See who goes fartherest in playoffs. I'm not going to argue whether you all have improved -- I'm sure you have, to some extent. But, the fact remains, there are a lot of coaches in SE Texas who have had a lot more success and are a lot more deserving of recognition or credit than a coach of a team that may not make the playoffs in a pretty weak 4A district and will not end up with a winning record. adminbaberuth
Coach Hooks of WOS would get my vote. We all know he has a very strong coaching staff, but it's not just the x and o's that Hooks brings to the table. For the ones that know him, you get my drift.
