BADSANTA Posted February 23, 2011 Report Posted February 23, 2011 If Silsbee beats Sealy, will they get upset by Cold Springs? Your thoughts. Seems like they have one hell of a team this year. Have you seen them play?
j_dog Posted February 23, 2011 Report Posted February 23, 2011 If the athletes on the basketball team are anything like on their football team .............. ??Does Gilbert play basketball?
Lazeek Posted February 23, 2011 Report Posted February 23, 2011 It is Coldspring, not Cold Springs!!!! I predict that Coldspring will handle Navasota with ease. Silsbee will handle Sealy with ease and set up a high paced game with Coldspring. Should be a great game!! Depth and experience SHOULD pay big dividends for the Tigers in this potential game!!

You were there on the sidelines with your pocket protector full of pencils when a 31-0 Tiger team was upset in the first round. So yes Coldsping could upset the Tigers, but will they should be a completely different matter. If this Tiger team plays up to their potential, they should make it back to Austin. If they play like they did in a few games, it could be a short playoff run. If they face HJ again, they better keep their focus and not get overconfident. It is always tough to beat a good team 3 times but it wouldn't be the first time the Tigers have done it. Just ask last years WOS team.
bobbymcgee Posted February 23, 2011 Report Posted February 23, 2011 Is there even a spring in Coldspring? Just curious how it got the name
BADSANTA Posted February 23, 2011 Author Report Posted February 23, 2011 ST413 I thought you were a bus driver for us that year right?
indian15/16 Posted February 23, 2011 Report Posted February 23, 2011 I have seen the Coldspring team this year. Yes, most of the football team play basketball, but that usually doesn't mean a whole lot. Gilbert plays, as well as, Cummings, but their gridiron talents do not fully translate to the hardwood. Sophmore guard Sikes is the engine that moves the machine for them. There are some nice pieces around him to make them a solid team. They have a couple of long athletic fowards and Matt Wilson in the middle(6'7" 270+). They will beat Navasota and Silsbee will advance as well, so this matchup is going to happen. I think it will be a competitive game, but I'm not ready to stack my chips and bet it all on Cspring.

BADSANTA Posted February 23, 2011 Author Report Posted February 23, 2011 Got a dvd of them playing Cleveland and they are good, but not Silsbee good. If DC Staloworth decideds to face up his defender, he can have field day scoring or passing out the double team.
