Some started off with a bang and then fizzled badly. Is 2 for 11 good enough to keep a position you can't really play anyway? Or will the coach try other people next weekend?[/quote]Uh, let's take it easy on the kids.
troper Posted February 27, 2011 Report Posted February 27, 2011 Not meant to be a shot at any kids at all. The Dogs played really well. Pitching was way better than you could have expected this early in the season. I was really impressed with the bats too. Coaches decisions really make you question whats happening in the program. This is a tremendously talented group of kids who should go a long way into the playoffs. You have got to be excited about Bulldog baseball this year. Sonnier is the leader this team needs, he is really coming through for the younger kids. Babs is really impressive behind the plate. Senior leadership will be one of the keys with this group, and I think the seniors will come through.
1696dogs Posted February 27, 2011 Report Posted February 27, 2011 I love hearing that about the leadership. No matter how proud I am of my childs playing ability, knowing he's seen as a leader who's doing his job right makes me even prouder.
lefty3162 Posted February 28, 2011 Report Posted February 28, 2011 In spite of him?People like you drive me crazy. He has done just fine without your expert opinion so far.
Guest tappedout Posted February 28, 2011 Report Posted February 28, 2011 First impression is everything!

NHS83LU87 Posted February 28, 2011 Report Posted February 28, 2011 Looks like thay have done pretty good so far. Are you complaining because your kid is not getting to playand you think he is better than another....Fact sometimes you only get that one chance to make the impression....Coach doesn't have that much time to spread around because he wants to get a lineup working together as much as possible prior to district....It may get even harder to get time. There are still 2 of last years Varsity players(one all-district DH) playing basketball. We'll know by the end of the week when they get to hit the field.
baseballsportsfan Posted February 28, 2011 Report Posted February 28, 2011 some people need to realize this is High School baseball we arent in little league anymore no more daddy ball in High School. My child is one of the ones setting the bench but you know what Coach used him when he needed him and he did his job. Yes it is hard to set back and watch your child set the bench when you know he is just as good as some that are playing all the time but thats life and there nothing you can do about it, it is the coach's decision. So getting on here and dogging another player is pointless
