Just curious.  Why are the playoff games on Wednesday instead of Tuesday? I've heard it has something to do with TAKs.  But if that's the case, why are baseball, softball and soccer playing on Tuesday?

Dates on which each playroff round is played are dictated by the UIL.  They have dictated that the Regional Quarterfinals are to be played on either, Wednesday, March 2, or Thursday, March 3. http://www.uiltexas.org/basketball

Other than playing on Sunday (or holiday) and the TEA regulation that only one game be played during the school week, individual schools are on their own as far as scheduling "regular season" games so long as they conclude their regular season by the certification date for playoff teams as dictated by the UIL.

No, my understanding the gym is actually at Lufkin M.S.....I not kidding!

That is correct. Lufkin lets visitors have playoff games in the Middle School gym. Its about 40-50 years old, you will not be terribly impressed. A bit tricky to find, too.

from what i heard is cleveland is first at kingwood park, crosby and astaocita (ms) for wednesday night

HJ and Cleveland coaches will meet in the morning early to do a coin flip.  Everything has been decided but the site.  Each school will put up a site and then whoever wins the flip will decide on site.  Should know something by about 730-800am Monday!!!

Site for each school has not been decided!!!  I do know Cleveland has two sites they want and HJ has two they like.

Mu guess is that Cleveland will have a preference for the Woodlands or  Conroe area and HJ will opt for something in Jefferson, Hardin, or Chambers county.
