I hope that you are wrong Dogs...

I hope for the fact that the "High School Boys Basketball might get real quiet" that I'm wrong..  ;)

Silsbee and HJ both done for the year normally means time for baseball on SETXsports.com  :D

Dogs- Earlier in the year, you soundly criticized HJs schedule saying that it was weak and the only teams they had beaten  were the ones they should beat.  Since they are still alive in the playoffs, does it mean they just got lucky in the first two playoff games or does, perhaps, the staff at HJ know what they are doing? (keeping in mind that last year- (yes I know how you HATE history) they were in the regional tourney based on a similarly "poor" schedule.

HJ DID put Nederland on their schedule this year. They're not weak.

If they were a top team in the are, then they would win those games, but they didnt.. They went through district beating all the teams they were suppose to beat, which is why they lost to Silsbee twice.. Now they are playing a team that I think is too much for them to handle, so I see HJ losing here, unlike the history that is always brought up about the HJ and Cleveland.. Now Nash, if HJ loses, will you get off my back? Because that will mean that I was correct, despite the criticism, about HJ losing to Silsbee twice,... and not beating Cleveland in the playoffs,... and HJ not playing Silsbee more than 2 times...

According to you, they shouldnt have gotten to this point because they have beaten two playoff calibre teams and you said they couldnt beat any good teams.  They are the obvious underdog against Cleveland and I wouldnt expect them to win this game.( but I also didn't expect Sealy to upset Silsbee)  However, if by some miracle they do, I will probably be in contact with you.

The Tigers two victories over HJ don't mean anything the rest of the way now.  The only thing that matters where the Tigers have been a concern now is that our loss has made this region HJ or Clevelands as far as being the favorite.  I think at least on paper the Tigers matched up fairly even with both teams starting 5 then had the advantage on the bench.  We didn't have that big of a size differential with either one.  If these two can counteract a team like Sealy sizewise,  I feel like one of the two will be in Austin.  This matchup should be a good one with both team having fairly equal depth and both with very good starting lineups.

Anything can happen in one game.......I also agree that the winner of this game on paper is the favorite to get to Austin.  But that is "why they play the games"!!!!!

Definately!  Waiting to see where this one is going to be,  I may have to go.  It will be my last game to see this year if I do.

Dogs, if you can't admit that HJ is one of the top teams in the area you are dreaming buddy.  Sorry.

Also, am very interested to hear how many times you have seen cleveland play this year since you are predicting they are too much for HJ.  Can I guess that you have not seen them a single time and you are basing this on box scores??

Don't sleep on Mexia. ;)
AAW, have you seen Mexia play? Does Hudson have a chance at them? This has been a crazy year for my picking games.
If you want to insure that Hudson does well, why not have them "invite" a certain nearby governmental agency to escort them to the game?

I have seen Mexia play and they are a very good basketball team.
Hudson has a shot, if they can get a 6 or 8 pt lead and stall the whole game. ;D Mexia will run Hudson out of the Gym.
