Cleveland does not have the depth to run HJ ragged like Silsbee was able to do.  Cleveland as I said is the best team that HJ will have played this year.  HJ will have their hands full, but I believe that HJ will pull it out with some magic in the 4th!!!

Most of the starters have played HJ the last two years in the playoffs... coming in as favorites and going home... well, preparing for baseball.

If HJ manages to take the lead during this game, I feel that doubt is going to creep into Cleveland.  Mental mistakes will follow.  A technical or two and its over!!!!  Cleveland hasn't shown me that they have the mental toughness that Silsbee has.  That's why Silsbee was able to come back against HJ..... SO MANY STINKING TIMES IN THE LAST 4 YEARS!!!

But, back to the topic of HJ:

I am not making any predictions but yet love that all the predictions made are going Cleveland's way.  As they have the past two years.  I am not sure how this game will end but I know that HJ will play very hard. Good luck tonight guys!

I have seen both teams play several times.  It is gonna be a good game.  Two different styles, but two very good teams.  I am looking forward to making the trip to Lee College.  Easy prediction, If HJ shoots well, they will win, their defense is consistent enough to do the job.  If Cleveland shoots well and gets easy ones inside (they must feed the big fellas), advantage them.  I feel that in playoff basketball, defense will get you far.  HJ plays with much more passion on the defensive end IMO.  We will see, I am just a basketball fan with no stakes in this game.  This is just how I see it.

Being behind didnt seem to bother Cleveland this year, They were down by 20 in Coldspring and still managed to pull out a win, good luck Indians
[/quote]You know that's a big difference.  If they lose in Coldspring, no problem, district continues and you get ready for the play-offs.

But if the Hawks take the lead, then you think, "oh no, it's happening again!".  Since its the play-offs you got everything to lose!

Just my 2 cents.

    • I too, wish #15 was healthy and playing.  And also another RB (can't recall the #), who went down in the first game of the season. But, some others have stepped up and are hard runners.  I'm really looking forward to watching this game.
    • Still, from what little I saw, it should have been a much closer game.  WOS was missing some fundamentals on defense, and a lack of imaginative play calling on offense.  Just my opinion as an objective observer on Texan Live, which was horrible btw, but that's another story.
    • Either way,one game lead in the series. I rely to much on word of mouth
    • West Orange Stark has been a powerhouse since I csn remember. At some point, your bound to fall off to some degree. Alabama has 3 or 4 loses this season. Who would have thought? Has Orange lost kids to LCM or even Orangefield?
    • Interesting matchup this Friday. Both teams have very good offensive and defensive lines, which will make this game interesting. Having watched Texas High all season, they have a wide open offense with very good skill players. If you look at their stats they run the ball 57% of the time and pass 43% of the time. Personally, that is a bit deceiving, as most of their games have seen reserves running the ball in the 4th quarter. I would estimate the primary offense is 50/50. Through 12 games they have run for 3,224 yds (48tds) and passed for 2,894 yds (32 yds). Potter, the Tiger QB, has been very efficient with a 69% completion rate and 1 interception (which came from a tipped pass). The passing is distributed primarily to 4 receivers…. Ball (865), Wrightner (811), Montgomery (532), & Pilgreen (392). The rushing comes from 3 running backs … Johnson (1,432), Ball (768) & Moore (716).  The Tiger defense is solid and very quick.    Hope #15 is healthy enough to play. He is a test for any defense. I was concerned about the Nederland RB, but felt Texas High did a good job containing him. I wish this game was in the afternoon, as Nachitoches is having their Festival of Lights and their will not be any rooms in the inns and restaurants will be full so plan accordingly. PNG are state champions until someone knocks them off, so I extend the Indians the respect they deserve. Pulling for the Tigers.
