ok i have a quick question. i was looking on the uil official website at the all state team from last year and seen that dc and cedric reed from cleveland were on the team. with both of their teams being out pretty early i was wondering would either one of them make it again this year?

DC was not out early....he made it to the State Semis..........now Reed was out early by my Hawks, just like this year!!! ;) ;)

Both should be all state players IMO!!!!

I would congratulate him on a good game but I wouldn't elevate a player on the shoulders of one game.Zay is a good player no doubt but he has been included in the same topic for years with some of Kountzes best and he isn't quite as good as some recent players in the Lions Den.I think by the post on this topic most folks would agree the overall talent level is down this year in SETX and would be tough to find 25 really good local players this season.

I don't think a lot of you in this area got to see #5 Darrin Sells play this year. Guys on the 2A level who are Kountze don't get a lot of spotlight, not dissing Kountze cause they are always at the top every year. I think some guys in the Silsbee and Kountze area did see him play and he is hands down one of the top 7 in SETX. I know he doesn't play against great teams like 3A and 4A teams do but he can't help that. This kid is great, on and off the court.

I am pretty sure that Shawn Prudhomme has established himself as the best player in the area averaging 28 points per game in playoffs and who knows how many rebounds.

Zeek is busy during those games and doesn't have time for those "Minor" stats.  He could, however, get a couple more sponsors and then hire him a stats person. 8)

Ja'Lexius Davis of Lufkin Hudson was a great ball player. He was the best player of his district and scored 33 against a good Mexia team. Varsity for 4 years and a big part of the team the past 4 years. He's up there with the best no doubt. Especially over Smith from Central.
