yardball Posted March 1, 2011 Report Posted March 1, 2011 You have to throw Jones from Kirbyville in there.Upper 80s with great movement and a filthy deuceHas control problems at times but when he's on he is untouchable
jam14 Posted March 1, 2011 Report Posted March 1, 2011 yo have to put jenkins in there from silsbee went to a baseball camp with him an can throw low 90 and he comes from the left side
NHS83LU87 Posted March 1, 2011 Report Posted March 1, 2011 Everyone wants mention velocity. I know some who will be effective without velocity and I know some with velocity that are flat with no movement. It really is too early to say who the top 3 are.
Stewie Posted March 17, 2011 Report Posted March 17, 2011 Reed Seeley - Baytown Lee (list not complete without him)Trey Pledger - Baytown Sterling, 2-0 start in district 21-5A with 2 complete game 7 inning shutouts over Westbrook (2-0) and LaPorte (5-0) allowing 3 hits, 0 runs, 2 BB and 14K combined.
Dayton Transplant Posted March 17, 2011 Report Posted March 17, 2011 The boy form Crosby is drawing a lot of attention from scouts.

I'm sure Gabby's only concerned is with helping his team get in the playoffs, not how hard he throws.

lcmfan Posted March 17, 2011 Report Posted March 17, 2011 The kid might be one of the best 3 in the state. Saw them play kingwood park before us at Porter and there was no where to stand behind homeplate to watch the game because of all the scouts. However, He did not get the save against us. Not sure who did, but he started that game. Pitched one inning and left the game. Crosby will be a very dangerous team come playoff time.
Guest Ranger83 Posted March 17, 2011 Report Posted March 17, 2011 If you expect a pitcher to be perfect you're crazy. You have to look at what's playing behind him. That's why IMO his high school stats are not relevant. He can reach the "magic number" and pitches down hill. His team could not win another game he pitches and he will still be one of the top 3 pitchers in our area.
NHS83LU87 Posted March 17, 2011 Report Posted March 17, 2011 91-92 does not make s a player the best pitcher. It makes him one of the hardest throwing pitchers and will get him to the next level. He may be one the best pitchers but it cannot be based solely on velocity. I know people that throw hard but can't get it over the plate.
Guest Ranger83 Posted March 17, 2011 Report Posted March 17, 2011 He can throw strikes and knows how to "pitch".

Reed Seely is up there too ( if Baytown is SETEX ).
Stewie Posted March 17, 2011 Report Posted March 17, 2011 Last map I looked at, Baytown is further South and East than Crosby. So I'm guessing Baytown qualifies as SETEX.
DaBears Posted March 18, 2011 Report Posted March 18, 2011 If the Crosby pitcher has only thrown 116 pitches in 21 innings, he is incredible.
oldollie Posted March 18, 2011 Report Posted March 18, 2011 I don't know if anything was wrong with him, but against LCM he started, gave up three hits and and was pulled after the first inning. I am not talking bad about the kid, he is excellent, just wondering if he had a off day.
Demo Man Posted March 18, 2011 Report Posted March 18, 2011 RYAN B WITH KELLY.....KEEP AN OPEN EYE ON THIS KID. ;D
