ForeverADog Posted March 2, 2011 Report Posted March 2, 2011 Kyle Gilliam was the first player taken, AAW. Just curious why a center was taken first?

bigred360 Posted March 2, 2011 Report Posted March 2, 2011 Well another thing is JJ Hays wasn't the first WR taken at his position. We are strong there. By the way, he wasn't too happy so I expect he'll have a chip on his shoulder and play great tomorrow.

He does have Bevil on his team, and AB has a narrow focus, so JJH should get plenty of opportunities.
bigred360 Posted March 2, 2011 Report Posted March 2, 2011 The things about JJ Hays is how big he is for this level of college football for the WR position. He is 6-3, 215 and has good but not great speed. He does catch the ball with his hands instead of letting the ball get into his body.We have a transfer from UH at CB, but I haven't looked to see what team he is on but all our DB or 6-0 and under.Hays can out jump all of them for the ball which is why I was surprised he was taken as the first WR taken.
SgtRey Posted March 2, 2011 Report Posted March 2, 2011 Can't wait to see this game...Who's bringin the craw fish?
