adminbaberuth Posted March 2, 2011 Report Posted March 2, 2011 Two of the best last year were Ty Parker (Jasper) and Jacob Felts (OF).What current catcher can block balls, accurate and strong arm, take control of the suitation and hit ? Let's hear em.
Jakk11 Posted March 3, 2011 Report Posted March 3, 2011 Caleb Henry from Silsbee. The kid can do it all. Plus he's a great leader.
Guest Abraham Posted March 3, 2011 Report Posted March 3, 2011 Billy Nichols- Evadale I know it's a 1a and all but the kid has heart and can play ball don't hate on the kid if you haven't seen him play!He can hit bunt and run the bases when the coach lets him! Not to mention the rocket arm he has.

LumRaiderFan Posted March 3, 2011 Report Posted March 3, 2011 As far as defense only...hard to beat Babineaux...nothing gets by him!
ponybaseball Posted March 3, 2011 Report Posted March 3, 2011 I like Matt at BC.Babs at Ned.The freshman at Vidor. You always get a good look at the ball with all these kids.
liftedpowerstroke Posted March 3, 2011 Report Posted March 3, 2011 Take a look at Holden Holsenback (spelling) #10 from Kirbyville, This kid has some discipline behind the plate. Never lobs the ball back to the pitcher. Great consistant arm, Great ablility to block, and Has a Decent offensive bat..
westend1 Posted March 3, 2011 Report Posted March 3, 2011 Charles Guillory. Good skills, strong arm and lots of pop with the bat.(and still just a soph)
Cody1971 Posted March 3, 2011 Report Posted March 3, 2011 Provost....PNG....size, strength, big arm, speed and a hitter. The whole package.
blessedone11 Posted March 3, 2011 Report Posted March 3, 2011 Caleb Henry-Silsbee powerful arm, quick behind the plate, great leader on the team
jeremy Posted March 3, 2011 Report Posted March 3, 2011 My son Jeremy Stevenson from Vidor!! He is A freshman, but has always had A big enough heart to step his game up to whatever level he needs to compete!!!!
sportsman04 Posted March 3, 2011 Report Posted March 3, 2011 Provost from PN-G....great defensively, on 2 or 3 stolen bags on him last year, he handles the staff very well, doing great again this year, ....i know its just the beginning of the season but he is batting .588 with 5 doubles so far, keep it up!
UTfanatic Posted March 3, 2011 Report Posted March 3, 2011 Babino Nederland ---- best defensive player

T-daddy Posted March 4, 2011 Report Posted March 4, 2011 last years top catcher prospects (ty-jasper felts-orangefield) were studs at the plate along with their defense so put up some stats when making your argument.
Guest Ranger83 Posted March 4, 2011 Report Posted March 4, 2011 The thread is about the best defensive catcher. Batting stats are not relevant.

Caleb would be the smart choice.
eagleswoodville#1 Posted March 4, 2011 Report Posted March 4, 2011 Ok not saying he's not as good as people say he is but the kid from Silsbee did not impress me at all at Woodville. He had a hood arm. But he missed several balls and was inconsistent hitting. He's alright but not better than menard or Babineaux. They're on a different level.
