Lamar State unveils new 'Seahawks Athletics' website

Lamar State College-Port Arthur has a new website for Seahawks Athletics to provide better coverage and connection to its intercollegiate men’s basketball and women’s softball programs.

One of the features of the new website (athletics.lamarpa.edu), a live video feed, will be very useful this week as the Seahawks basketball team begins their quest for a conference championship at 6 p.m. Thursday in the Region XIV Tournament against Kilgore College.

Lamar State athletic director Scott Street said, “This is a vastly improved update of our previous pages on the college website. It really will help Seahawks fans follow our teams, and it lets them see the corporate sponsors that support Lamar State athletic teams.”

Street plans to add other features to the site in the future.

“We really appreciate the hard work of the college webmaster, Tommy Fauth, who designed this beautiful new website,” Street said. “We would like to hear from the public about what they would like to see.”
