It's the one thing I was really concerned about this year with Silsbee and that was defense. That's 10 errors in the last two games. You can have outstanding pitching but commit 5 errors and you will really be hard pressed to win games. Tigers have to get better defensively!

That's what these games are all about.  Trying to get the kids ready for a error free district race.  I'm sure they will do just fine when it counts.

Who are they playing?  I heard Kelly and Kirbyville play at 4:45 in Orangefield.  Surely, they won't make Kelly play Central at 12:15, then hop on a bus to travel up to Buna for a 4:45 game.  But, who knows?  Maybe.

Silsbee beat Tyler All-Sants 8-3. Silsbee's freshman Powell started the game and did good in the first inning 2K, 1BB, 0runs. In the second inning he ran into trouble 2 runs, 0K, 3BB, 3 hits. Clint Scoggins releived him giving up no more runs. Clint finished the game 5 innings, 6K, 3BB, 3 hits, 1 run. Silsbee pounded out 11 hits and commited only 3 errors. Go Tigers!!!
