Assistants will be Penny Hardaway and Walter Yates Sr., with consulting from Greg Wise of Houston Yates.

Pre district Wins over Deweyville, Buna, Evadale, Sabine Pass, Tarkington, Orangefield, etc. Expect the best and the results will show. Nederland basketball is a perfect example. English has a passion for the game. Look what his passion for the game has brought to Nederland. Results and school pride in basketball.

Well said! Nederland as a community has good basketball talent, as does most other areas, the difference is the commitment by a coach to do whatever it takes to develop the talent and the program. Coach English truly does have a passion for the game, proven by his actions not just words. His passion is becoming Nederlands passion too. I am seeing people at these playoff games that never before showed much basketball interest. Everyone loves a winner, and it takes hard work to become one. Coach English works hard and his players and future players love to work hard for him. Our kids are truly fortunate to have him and so is our community.

By the way I am posting this just prior to leaving in a caravan to Katy!!!
